I’m the one that got away.

Thank God.

She was the love of my life and we were meant for each other. She died of pancreatic cancer in 2009. I can honestly say that I’ve never loved anyone so deeply. Even to this day, I think about her and how differently my life might have been.

Are you really only 27? I always imagined you older than me for whatever reason.

Been there. I wonder what things would be like had my ex just done something as simple as take her medication like she was supposed to, but she refused and it cost her our marriage and eventually her life.

I had a partial scholarship to a very nice out of state parochial school. I ended up not going there because they didn't have football. I stayed at my crummy public school, which I enjoyed, but have always wondered what could have been.

Who knows, with better connections, I might have gotten into an Ivy League school. I might be waiting for one of Trumps next Cabinet appointments, or waiting to be confirmed for the Supreme Court. If I'd just gone to a better high school.

A good ten years ago but we were in highschool and she was the valedictorian and I was the resident slacking/stoner who made good enough grades to pass and be in clas with her.

I didnt give her the time she deserved and I didnt treat her as well as she treated me. We still talked for a few years in college but she was always a straight shooter and I was still in the process of getting my life together. She was just much more mature than me during our respective times together but I feel like maybe we could be something if out paths ever cross again.

We had a deep connection forged from being born with the same facial deformity so we had a long relationship. I would like to get one more chance to talk to her.

If this is true, then why not reach out? I'd love to talk the one I mentioned again. That was a bad, bad split. But I'd give anything for just one more shot.

I’ve debated it but in the end I feel it would probably be in both of our best interests to keep our relationship as is now. We did a lot of bad stuff to each other and I have no desire to open up that can of worms again.

Junior year at LSU. We were both immature but we had a lot of fun. The type of fun only LSU can provide when you are young, in love, and stupid. It was a clean break so those memories are still good. Think about her walking across campus on gamedays sometimes

Just recently lost someone I cared very deeply about because of a psycho ex that wouldn't stop fricking with him.

Nothing I could do but just understand the situation and let him go. I now have no way of contacting him so I'm pretty sure he had enough and wiped the slate clean.

I don't plan on ever hearing from him again and it sucks.
