I worked at Dickie Brennan’s Steak House. It’s good but not the best in New Orleans.

Edit: I’m now seeing it’s “most iconic”, not best. I think DBSH is a good choice for most iconic.

Enid depot is definitely not what I was expecting for MS

To me, it should be Como. That place is so damn good

Better than Marshall's?

Also...

TENNESSEE: Folk's Folly in Memphis

They got that right.

It's not even the best steakhouse in Amarillo. Not even in the top 5 in the panhandle.

it is hard to put anything as iconic in the most forgetable part of the state

Mr John's and desi Vega are both better

Crescent city steakhouse is not the best but I like the nostalgia and the service is top notch.

Honorable mention is
A filet at college Inn, there isnt many options but the filet is perfectly consistent.

Been to several on the list and this list is some clickbait BS.

For instance, Pine Club in Dayton. OH was not remarkable in any way, shape or form. I've not been to Peter Luger in NYC but ive been to the one in Vegas. Again, not flavorful and nothing special. The only reason I'd go back is because the Figs & Sage cocktail is fire.

For New York City steakhouses, our preference is Sparks Steak House.

Ah, going to the scene of the crime where "Big Paul Castelano" and his driver, Tommy Bilotti were left in 2 pools of blood ourtside the place.

You do not enjoy heavy winds, dust storms and farm land as far as the eye can see? It is an acquired taste, but I have 50+ years of dealing with it.

Do not mention that place in N. Mississippi. Forget there is even a place on the map named Como, MS. That said establishment does not exist.

As to Dickie Brennan's. While better than just good, there are better. It's better than Ruth's Chris today that is for sure.

I have been to 4 on this list: Bones, Does, Stagecoach, and Lolo. One of the advantages of being a hungry cross country trucker i guess.

Hall’s is great but had a better steak at Marbled and Fin. What Hall’s does better than anywhere is make every guest feel like a celebrity though. Billy Hall tGoat

Bavette’s is great, but still relatively new (not that Gibsons is super old, but 14 vs 37 years of history is a big difference) and I think Gibson’s has a lot more name recognition nationally.

I understand why it’s the choice for “iconic”.
