The fact they based the best one in Texas of all places on a gimmick tells one all they need to know about the list, what a joke.

I knew before opening this thread they were going to find a steak house in Memphis for Tennessee.

Ha, these lists usually have some place in Nashville even for BBQ and fried chicken.

I don't event hink I'd consider Brightstar a steakhouse for Bama. It is definitey one of the more iconic restaurants in the state for its history, but I don't know anyone that would consider it a steakhouse in the traditional sense. You can get steak, sure, but probably has more seafood options than it does steak. It is just a southern style restaurant

correct. and the only time I ate there when I lived in Bham, I got the snapper. not great. big hunk of overcooked fish in some sort of tomato-ey sauce.

Enid depot is definitely not what I was expecting for MS

To me, it should be Como. That place is so damn good

Enid Depot is really good, but it's not "iconic". It's just a banger of a country steak house.

The best steak can be debated, but the correct answer for true icons is Como or Doe's.

In fairness to the list, it's not the "Best" rather "Most Iconic"

See my above post about icons vs best steak in Mississippi.

Folk's Folly... Best steak in Tennessee, or even Memphis? I don't know.. I liked Porch and Parlor more... A Tennessee Icon? YEP.

I like Diamond Jim's in Livingston; just a good country steakhouse

This is the picture of South Dakota's best steak house?

I would go with Club Vega in Kimball.

Morrie's Steakhouse is a modern classic in Sioux Falls, known for elevating the traditional steakhouse experience in the region.

The restaurant is known for its steaks, fresh seafood, including creamy lobster mashed potatoes, and an extensive wine and cocktail list.

I think Bavette’s has a better atmosphere and steak with their red velvet couches, basement bar etc

My favorite steakhouse on this Earth.

But a lot less “iconic” than Gibsons. It’s also way better than Gibsons

Maybe not the best, but definitely the most iconic.

I will allow it.

I disagree with Gibsons being the most iconic in Illinois

I agree that Bavette's is the best... but I can understand Gibson's still being the most iconic..
