I’m only 30 but professional entities tweeting and using social media like a 13 year old always irks me.
Feels like we are dumbing down our institutions.

Sounds like they're referring to Owlie's Mom here:

And not one “your mom” joke?

I think that is quite clever.

My wife is a big time calendar person. One of the ones she had last year was "subpar parks". Each month was a different 1 star review of a national park.

I've been there, it's actually pretty awesome. That's just sarcasm because Americans are idiots, completely removed from nature and expect it to be like a Disney theme park.

Mammoth Cave is awesome

I went through a period of exploring uncharted caves in the Ozarks a long time ago. A note for those who never did this. You can get into a lot of trouble exploring a cave.

I've been to Mammoth cave twice. Both times it was great. Just amazing to realize what all is down there.

I don’t think you know what mailing it in is. Mailing it in would have been a post that only says: “Come to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky.”

I found that pretty fricking funny actually

Where's the actual 'study'?
From Mammoth Cave NPS facebook:
"nothing cool"? I was there years ago, it's a cave, it is cool, about 55F.
EDIT: OK, found this, lame...
LINK
Doing a word count on Google and Tripadvisor reviews hardly counts as 'research'.

Mammoth Cave National Park found itself ranked among the “most disappointing” U.S. tourist attractions, according to their social media, where they cite a study that found the cave to be “too dark” and have “nothing cool.”

New research has ranked Kentucky attraction Mammoth Cave National Park the third most disappointing tourist attraction in the U.S..
The new study used websites like Google and Tripadvisor to look for 1–3-star reviews. They then used those reviews to look for words like disappointment, subpar and more to identify disappointed visitors.
Mammoth Cave National Park left 19.38% of reviewers feeling underwhelmed.
