Last week. Mom died about a year and a half ago. I got a new phone last week and the text messages weren't transferring over so I went and did a screenshot of all of our text. It was the first time I had read our text messages since she passed. I cried like a baby.

the first time my wife got pregnant she lost it maybe a week after our first ultrasound. We knew something was going wrong but I had to be at work during her appointment so she had to text me to tell me there was no longer a heartbeat. I held it together for the next 6 hours then collapsed a few seconds after walking through the door of our house and cried like I never had before and probably never will again.

My Mother in Law passed away right at a month ago. Real tears were shed, then.

4 days ago as March 19th marked 40 years since my mom passed away. Died of breast cancer at 27, I was only 8. I thought about how I never got to really know her and now that I’m almost 50 years old, just how young 27 is.

Never in my life have I wept uncontrollably.

Eta maybe as a toddler

Eta I don't process sadness normally.

They few times I've shed a tear it was because of joy.

Dang, sorry man. My mom passed at 71 (I was 35) and even I felt like I didn't have enough time with her.

One of my best friends passed away a couple months ago. Guy was like a brother to me. He left my office and had a heart attack an hour later.

I imagine the sense of relief you felt there is the same I did the last time I truly wept that I mentioned earlier in this thread. A sense of “I’m still here”.

Last time I really cried was 2014 when my grandmother died.

Ugh it was awful. RIP Nana.

At the end of Titanic when Jack let Rose use the wooden door to save her from the icy water, then succumbed to the cold and sank to the crushing black depths of Davey Jones' locker.
