This is how these accounts always do this sort of stuff

quote:

What you’re describing is usually a mix of protected tweets, selective deletion, timing tricks, and survivorship bias — not actual prediction.

Here’s the common playbook those X/Twitter “prediction” accounts use:

They make the account private.
They tweet dozens or hundreds of predictions:
“Team A wins”
“Team B wins”
“Stock pumps tomorrow”
“Earthquake soon”
“Celebrity breakup incoming”
Nobody can see the tweets because the account is protected.

After the real event happens, they:
delete the wrong predictions
keep the one correct tweet
Then they un-private the account or accept followers.

To outsiders, it looks like:

“Whoa, they predicted this days ago.”

Because the remaining tweet has an old timestamp, people assume it was publicly visible the whole time.

Update:

quote:

Here's what we've learnt from the WHO news conference earlier:

This is not another Covid pandemic. WHO says hantaviruses spread "very, very differently" and through prolonged contact.
Five of the eight suspected cases have been confirmed - all eight are people who were on board the ship.

More cases could be reported. Given the incubation period of this disease, which can be up to six weeks, we could see more hantavirus cases.

The public health risk is low. WHO's director general says this also applies to the Canary Islands, where the ship is heading now.

The outbreak is being investigated. WHO says the couple who were the first to get infected visited places "where the species of rat known to carry the virus was present". Investigations of the outbreak are "still under way".

But what is the definition of prolonged contact? I don't think WHO or anyone else has said.

They don’t know what prolonged contact is- hell a flight attendant already caught it- while likely more contact than rest of the plane other than the immediate rows of patient 0, how much could she really have had?

Yes you can

It empowered angry, bored liberal women all over the country for more than a year. They will do anything to get that feeling back.

That shite was more addictive than heroin.

So far the goalposts have been moved as follows

"It's most likely just rats on the ship, direct exposure happened to all these people"

"Well, someone contracted it before they got on the boat, but it can't be transmitted from human to human"

"Ok, this variant can transfer, but only from direct long exposure, like from spouse to spouse"

"Ok, yes the flight attendant with limited exposure got it, and many other people on the ship got it, but no big. No one will catch it from an asymptomatic person"

"Ok, cases are going to pop up all over the world, but there's no chance of it being a problem, and it's little to no threat to the public."

What's the next goalpost shift going to be?

They were on a plane together for a several hours. The woman was already sick. Maybe the flight attendant was assisting the elderly, sick woman?

Why do some of y'all seem to want this to be a bigger deal?

Look here pissant, I don’t want to make it a big deal but I also don’t want it to become a big deal- I’m content with my life and one pandemic is enough in my lifetime-

I don't "want" anything. I'm pointing out the stupidity of blindly trusting whatever WHO, scientists, and the CDC say, when it's been proven repeatedly that they either don't know what they're talking about or they are serving a political purpose above a scientific one (maintaining calm, for now).

There's a reason the US left the WHO and there's been intense scrutiny and congressional hearings on the health leadership that was in place during COVID.

I got caught flat footed the first time...not this time! AI can create LLCs faster for me than I can file them. Just wait until I create Honda Civic, LLC.
