The hantavirus has made it to land in Switzerland from the cruise ship

Earlier thread
The initial thought was that it wasn’t spreading from human to human, only through rodent droppings and urine, but now they’re saying this strain can be transmitted person to person.
They are still conducting contact tracing from the flights two of the passengers took. By now, this thing could already be spread pretty far.
Also, it looks like they’re just going to let the people on the cruise ship infect each other and die at sea. If it does spread from human to human, has no cure or treatment, and kills 50% of the people it infects, then leaving them at sea and sacrificing them sadly seems like the best option.

This was probably cooked up in one of Fauci's labs. The probably spliced a receptor on it.

This might be lowkey the biggest story in the world right now. Its certainly not good

Two flights of people in a long metal tube, breathing the same recycled air as two people from the ship, then going home to their families, is concerning

From my understanding, this is an already existing South American strain that has been known to go human to human in rare cases
It appears to have spread more easily than normal here

I did not know that was a possibility.
I'd wear a mask for a 50% kill rate I swear to god i would

Grandma has no shot of living through this one, unlike the glorified flu of 2020

Doesn’t it take some serious bodily fluid transfer to go human to human?

To make you feel better, it is only about 40% in America

Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) has a high mortality rate, often quoted between 35% and 40% in the Americas. The disease is frequently fatal when it leads to respiratory failure, with some severe cases reaching 50% mortality

IDK.
I read that the CDC is being quiet about this, but several Drs are shocked at how easy this strain seems to be jumping and spreading.

I refused the Covid vax but would willingly lockdown and mask (and prob vax) for an outbreak of hantavirus. Bad shite there.

A 50% kill rate seems high enough to maybe kill off the infected before they really have a chance to spread it too much.
I'm sure the OT is full of countless experts who can either confirm or contradict that statement.

The best thing as it relates to transmission is this virus is extremely deadly and symptoms come on fast
That doesn’t lead to it being something that can really super spread. What made Covid such a spreader was that it actually wasn’t that deadly and people could carry it while being only marginally sick
Don’t think you will have many asymptomatic hantavirus people still going to work

Yeah, I am sure that's why they are leaving the cruise ship at sea
Right now, the concern is that two passengers left and took flights after

Well this is the one the bunkers were meant for isn’t it.

Which is the same reason why things like Ebola never spread like people feared
