Add on starting my 2nd year at LSU law my life officially blows.
My parents talk about Betsy and Camile. I talk about Louisiana disasters since Andrew. We all will share these Flood 16 stories for years to come.
And we'll share them with the one thing that can't be replaced, friends and family. We survive and we rebuild.

Bug, when you say newer section of Azalea Lakes is still dry, is that the Lake Iris area? Namely close to the entrance at Jefferson? Got a buddy whose place is on the lake there

Hearing a lot of this. This is a leading indicator for all of the residents along Ward Creek and Bayou Fountain.

I'm hoping the Nicholson shut down is because of flooding where elbow bayou crosses the road... and that areas east of Gardere are not at risk.

Update for St Amant area around Holy Rosay
The water is rising signicantly. I just took a ride and Black Bayou is over the bridge in back of Savoy. I am assuming that the bridge over Beco is almost topped too because the water was touching the bottom around 7:30pm
Do you know if water was on Daniel Guedry road yet? My parents live there. They did sandbag but I'm concerned they didn't go high enough.

Ok intersection of Highland/Siegen/Burbank barricaded off.
Intersection of Bluebonnet Highland is still dry. However turning left on Bluebonnet towards Burbank there is a small downward hill, at the bottom of that hill both sides of road are collecting water.
The water in front of Albertsons is now covering both lanes and moving into Turning lane. It is moving towards Highland. It is front of the entrance into pizza hut/Mexican restraunt.
There is water accumulating on the other side of road as well in front Dunkin Doughnuts, Burger king and Walgreens.
Conclusion:
I am no "expert" like Super but water is 100% rising along Highland btw Siegen/Burbank and Bluebonnet.

Damn that's not good. Another buddy has a place that backs up to Ward Creek near Barringer Foreman. He had water 1 foot from his door around 8pm. I'm guessing he's taking on water now

The newest part is off Hoo Shoo Too. Three Bars and Lake Myrtle. Unfortunately, Lake Iris and those Streets from 73 were first and lowest.

Damn. I'm on bluebonnet extension past Burbank
You have me on edge now, and I thought for sure we would be fine.

Thanks a ton for the update. This plus what we are hearing going on at Santa Maria should have anyone along this watershed VERY alert... I'll post a map detailing the situation in a moment.

Where is bluebonnet extension? You mean where it ties into spring hill?
