As scammy as it was, in my opinion, you have to accept the bullshite with the real help.
Let’s just say there was 40% fraud.
Well that other 60% saved the country.
If gov is going to force business to close, and the people support that, then the gov and the people have a duty to give a lifeline for business to see through that closure.
And then accept that X number of people will try to find ways to scam it.
40% is way, way, way, way too low.

During that era, anytime one of my clients would randomly come to me to form an LLC, I would politely decline.
Basically led me to stop doing it, generally.

Who supported that though? I don't know anyone who was a fan of forcing businesses to shut down.

Looked at the local list a while back.
There were several "clusters" of related people on that list who can't do their own taxes and I seriously doubt they were employed to begin with.
Noticed several law firms and insurance *offices too.

There were shite tons of people cheering on the lockdowns knowing full well small businesses wouldn't be able to handle them.

Our reaction to covid was so retarded. It would've been better to just let a few million fat fricks and old people die than to shut down the economy for a couple years.
This can't be stated enough.

Okay, so now we've identified who has scammed it, let's go after them with the full force of the law. Disincentivise it moving forward. These people stole large amounts of money. Prosecute them for it.

Indeed.
Probably as much through the Unemployment system.
A lot of Nigerians benefitted from COVID bailouts.

Included in that 60% I bet almost half didn't really need the PPP loan but qualified anyway. Not technically fraud, but it wasn't necessary. That shite didn't save the country

If by "unbelievable" you mean completely predictable and expected, then I agree with you.
Every government program, from student loans to welfare to government contracts to disability programs is rife with fraud and corruption. Why would this poorly conceived and rushed program be any different?

So you'd be totally ok if it was your "fat frick" or "old person" who died?

Imagine that. And I'm sure, based on the demographic, you'll not here much about it in the MSM.

don’t bring this up here, the brain trust blames stimmy checks for the fact they had to commit ppp fraud in order to afford their tri-outboard catamaran in 2021

If you Search a lot of these loans then you'll find many of them were forgiven when Biden took office.

I’m pretty sure my employer did. Although I have no way to prove it.

Who the hell raised these pieces of shite?

It's not a binary situation.
Nothing that was done actually prevented anyone from dying.

The government and no one that runs our society can even acknowledge the problem much less condemn the behaviors that stem from it.
Why should anyone pay taxes? It either funds a new war or goes right into the pockets of scam artists.
