Roads? Railways? Move to where trade is possible? Africa is pretty big. Not many good places to land boats?
Not sure you read my post all the way through. I’m not talking about now. I’m talking about Africa’s historical growth. Those reasons contribute to why central and Southern Africa stayed as small tribal villages while the rest of the world was evolving.

My point is whatever decent things you can find there is pretty much all invested and or built by China. That is info you can find all over the internet.
You are only partially correct. This is my take as someone who has lived and traveled around West Africa. There are nice parts like Victoria Island in Nigeria which is built on western culture and western money. If any of you think you could survive a week in Lagos itself you're delusional. Historically the nicest parts of most countries in the region are the colonial districts which includes things such as golf coursed that haven't been touched in over 50 years. All and I mean everything new in Africa is Chinese financed and Chinese built. Africa is basically owned by China.

And if you take a photo of the New Orleans skyline at a very specific angle it looks like one of the largest cities in the world. But is it?

You're not wrong. South Africa's nicest areas were built, at the latest, in the 80s, similar to Namibia. A lot of the newer infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa is distinctly Chinese. The major difference between Western Colonialism and Chinese Colonialism is that the West spread culture, administration, and Christianity. The Chinese build stuff to extract resources, and pay off the right people. They DGAF about leaving behind administration, and they're antithetical to religion. They're far more exploitative than the West ever dreamed of.

Nice, now do the rest of Africa.
Guy picks one country out of 54 African countries and thinks he has a gotcha!
Any logical person can see the development of African countries over the last 50 years has gone backwards in the vast majority of countries, which is the point of the OP.

Even Africans are adept at this.

Africa lacks decent harbors, and its rivers are largely impassible.
This is true. But do you really truly believe that, if Africa had ports and rivers, it’d be that much different today?

Africa has thousands of miles of coastline and is uniquely situated between the East and West, and yet the countries that "own" that coastline are largely shithole, low trust societies, with terrible economies and quality of life. So anyone who tries to tell you that geography is the problem is being entirely disingenuous.

Eh, pretty much the whole continent of Africa has grown economically over the last 50 years. However, it was from an extremely low starting point. So what they've "accomplished" in most countries is lowering the percentage of people in extreme poverty from 95% to 40% or something like that.

Of course not. Didn't even suggest as much.

Apparently it doesn’t have any real navigable rivers. Sure, it has lots of rivers, but the massive drops in elevation throughout the continent cause them all to have waterfalls and make them unusable for long distances by boat.
Additionally, its coast is rocky and has very few places to bring in ships.
Have you ever been to Norway? Denmark? Iceland? What kind of coastline do they have? The Vikings and Norsemen conquered damned near the entirety of northern Europe and Britain. They sailed across the Atlantic to North America. They travelled as far as the Mediterranean and established settlements there. What could be the difference?

It's because they are majority black. There has never been a prosperous black civilization. They never invented their own currency which is why black people are poor. They don't understand the concept of money.
Franck Zulu explains this in detail that the black culture is the reason, black people have always been like they are. You can give them a million dollars and they will be broke and poor tomorrow. You can name numerous broke major league black players that were just careless with money. Name a white Major league player that wasted his money and is broke today. Not bad investments, but wasted. It's hard to do. Black culture has been its own problem for thousands of years. They didn't build anything. Europeans built Africa so they don't know anything but being tribal.
