Roads? Railways? Move to where trade is possible? Africa is pretty big. Not many good places to land boats?
Not sure you read my post all the way through. I’m not talking about now. I’m talking about Africa’s historical growth. Those reasons contribute to why central and Southern Africa stayed as small tribal villages while the rest of the world was evolving.

My point is whatever decent things you can find there is pretty much all invested and or built by China. That is info you can find all over the internet.
You are only partially correct. This is my take as someone who has lived and traveled around West Africa. There are nice parts like Victoria Island in Nigeria which is built on western culture and western money. If any of you think you could survive a week in Lagos itself you're delusional. Historically the nicest parts of most countries in the region are the colonial districts which includes things such as golf coursed that haven't been touched in over 50 years. All and I mean everything new in Africa is Chinese financed and Chinese built. Africa is basically owned by China.

And if you take a photo of the New Orleans skyline at a very specific angle it looks like one of the largest cities in the world. But is it?
