Has anybody seen one of the new Longines HydroConquests in the wild...specifically this one?

It’s not been that bad for me.

They also carry CPO’s with varying inventory that may be a better start.

ETA: that dial is discontinued and the 36 has double batons at 3 6 9.

Is the current blue a bit lighter than the more navy blue pictured on the one I posted? That's what it seems from what I see online. I really like that darker navy.

This is what I've seen through my rather cursory research, hence my query here. I guess it really is a crap shoot. I suppose my conclusion from the responses is, it can't hurt to try if I'm really wanting to shell out $6750 for a watch.

I appreciate all the responses here regardless - even the one that reinforced my fear of even approaching an AD to think about even starting "the process."

not a fan of RM at all. they look like cheap amazon junk to me and just never got the appeal of that brand and i love almost every type of watch out there.

amazon sells a zillion RM knockoffs for $25

The current catalog 36mm OP blue dial is called medium blue and is a flat finish. Great looking. As someone mentioned double batons at the 3 & 9 position. I got the beige dial version this spring from a cold call from my AD. 36mm OP is a great watch in my opinion. Oyster bracelet quality and comfort unimpeachable and current versions have the EZ Link. They just don’t make a lot of them in any one color configuration as the number of dial choices dilutes it out.

Current model is “medium” blue with a flat finish. The model from the photo is a darker blue with a sunburst finish.

Looks like the color was handled above, that’s what I get for leaving my response window open for a couple hours

When I learned that, it made my dream of buying a sub much less appealing. I dont even want one anymore.

I mean, I still want one. Ill just never actually buy one.

Yep. The collaboration is only being offered in pocket watch. Can’t imagine the public is too excited.

The omega swatch collabs were cool wrist watches.

I certainly don't understand why AP would consider such a collaboration. Reminds me of when Mont Blanc pens were in the display cases of Sam's Club and Office Depot, just seems like a good way to dilute a luxury brand.

When omega did their joint watches with swatch. They sold a ton of watches. And then the sales of the 10k omegas that the collaboration was based on went up.

Now idk if it will increase sales of a 100k AP watch.

But I think that’s the thinking.

Thing about AP is they aren't the level of sales volume that Omega occupies. They don't exactly have a problem sellling every watch they make either and they get plenty of free advertising with rappers.

From what I’ve been reading the swatch watches can’t really be repaired. Is that correct?

So people are gonna pay hundreds of dollars for a Plastic watch that won’t be repairable after a few years?

It’s a quartz movement. What’s to be repaired?

The moonswatches are quartz, but the AP collab is Swatch's Sistem51 movement. Can't be opened or repaired.
