That's not my brand of free speech, but I guess it stops just short of crossing the line of unprotected speech.

I don't see any reason for outrage here.
The police were polite and left when asked.
Jackass will probably be more careful with his tone on social media now.
As far as a waste of resources, police do a lot worse.

There is no free speech issue here. He wasn’t arrested. He wasn’t ordered to take down his words.

Well, it did happen not that long ago.
They certainly aren't "the" ones, since there are other possible candidates too. Radicalized leftists outraged over Palestine. Radicalized Muslims of any political persuasion. But there's a subset of right-wing native-born Americans that certainly would, too.
