Been a miserable summer, but at least the frequent afternoon showers give a quick cool down

Texas is a big state, but this summer has most certainly been more pleasant than the last decade at least in DFW.

Plenty of rain and while still hot, we haven’t had any days of 103 feels like 112.

Golf course are primo right now

lol. I still remember the summer from just a couple years ago, with something like 50 straight days of triple digits and topping out at 112°. lol

Agreed. It’s actually been a pretty pleasant summer here in Southeast Texas…much better than the last two years. We’ve finally had some rain in June, July, and August instead of endless weeks of 95+ degree heat with no relief.

This is a direct consequence of MAGA doin' work!

All the illegals and their combined body heat being deported has dropped the average temp!

You may not like Trump/America, but you cannot argue with success!

Brother it's been hot at points but it hasn't been that bad.

Well when I was there the heat index was 112. The humidity was unbearable

I was talking about this Saturday. The rain has helped keep it not as hot.. but make no mistake... When rain isn't a factor.. Its hot and humid as shite. Yesterday was a son of a bitch.

Yes, but it's rained a lot. Didn't you see the flooding?! Thanks Trump!

That's the beauty of "climate change". You never have to be wrong" If the phenomenon were still "global warming" this kind of fact would hurt that narrative. But with climate change you can easily pivot to some other outlier as "proof".

I remember a couple of years ago when Dallas had 60+ days of triple digit temps and no rain.

I’ve been in Dallas for over a month now and it’s actually been quite nice weather.

The climate change crowd must be very confused.

It's almost as if the earth goes through different phases of warming and cooling.

Just like how some of the hottest days on record were 100 years ago.

When everyone was bitching last summer about how it has never been this hot in Louisiana it was because we weren't getting rain.

This summer we have received some rain. With cooler mornings and nights.

I just listened to the YT weather dude. The "heat dome" is setting up big with high barometric pressure aloft. Air is sinking and temperatures are rising and will to the century mark. HD is late this year. And I have to wait until late August for my respite Wisconsin trip. And I will be spending time also in Norway. When I get back here in mid September, I hope it is all gone.

Where have you been the past dozen years or so when the phraseology was changed to climate change precisely for the reason that it wasn’t “warming”

Weather was 50/50 during my time in Wisconsin this summer, some good sunny days mixed in with dark gloomy rainy days. Cheese curds were amazing though.

I cut 5 acres of grass yesterday and had to take three breaks. The humidity is brutal.

Now maybe we can stop getting the historic freezes too. Last normal winter was 2018 or 2019.

Thanks for the 3 week recap. Can you give us data over the last 5 years and 10 years? Would be interesting to see.
