They are losing their rights.

Right up there with the most restrictive states.

At least the women on dating apps in the Denver area are hot and don’t look like the crazies in Portland do.

Montana, and I imagine Utah are both better, and have the same positives of Colorado.

There are no urban centers here, outside of Billings (sorta, and not the place you want to live), and a hell of a lot colder and snowier in places normal folks live.

Utah has a more comparable climate, and might just be the prettier choice, at least in terms of diverse biomes. SLC is a solid city, and St. George or even Ogden are great places for families. However, it's really hard to overstate how isolated you will feel socially and professionally if you aren't LDS in many places.

Downtown Denver looked like a set piece for The Walking Dead, complete with strung out addicts shambling around.

The zoo is incredible and so is the natural history museum. Red Rocks is amazing. The suburb of Columbine was also beautiful.

Had great BBQ there and dinner at the Buckhorn Exchange was legit.

Downtown Denver is basically a ghost town. It’s really eerie and a ton of homeless. Red Rocks is amazing though.

Anything bad derives from the politics. The politics come from the metropolitan areas. Otherwise, the state is very nice.

Its not that bad in SLC, though is still a thing even there, but pretty much everywhere else not being LDS is limiting socially and sometimes professionally.

I do love being 4.5 hours from Moab. Close enough to visit but dont have to deal with the Utahness of it all the time.

I'll say this, I couldnt imagine living in Denver or the Springs. I love being perched high in the mountains, and the urban issues dont hit us very much.

But I aint sure these baws are built for the winters at high elevation.

I lived there for a decade (90’s-2001) . It was almost perfect imho, but it was a red/ purple state and well run. I’d say that the people aren’t warm in general besides the transplanted southerners and Midwesterners. And of course in 2 decades irlts been overrun with Californians.

Today I had an appointment with a black lady who called me baby and fed me shrimp and crawfish etouffe and it was all amazing S La fuzzies. Just lovely and warm and one of those things that happens here that would never happen there.

It’s like most of the country. If you look at county maps it’s almost entirely Red. But the population of the blue parts are near impossible to overcome.
