I want to get some hearing protection to wear while I’m in the stand. Can anybody recommend some that will let me hear my surroundings and protect my hearing when taking a shot? Or is that even possible? Last couple times taking a shot my ears started ringing and it lasted a few days. Just trying to protect what I have left.

I went last week and they said they aerated them on the 7th. The week before that they were great.

I have the same scope on my .35 Whelen and it hasn’t lost zero since I mounted it.
I have both the Winchester SXP and a mint condition BPS both have not been shot. They have 26 and 28 “ barrels. Checked everywhere’s for shorter barrels for them and can’t find them. The Winchester is camo and I can’t find a matching barrel in that pattern

I think it will mess up the choke. It swells up on the end of the barrel and I don’t know if it could be rethreaded

Which model did you go with? I did buy a Winchester SXP 20 gauge this week and I’m not really in love with it. It’s the bottomland camo edition but it has a 28” barrel. Looking for something a little more compact. Thought about just buying a new barrel but I can’t find one online either.
