The forest is pretty legit. Expect to send kids to private school. Decent Mardi Gras ball. Small population and pretty run down. That’s the gist of Franklin, LA.

They just remodeled their little Walmarks about a year ago and now it has a few grocery aisles. That's about the only thing exciting to happen in Franklin in quite some time.

Who remembers the after hours club on US 90 at Franklin back in the late 80's? Can't recall the name....Those brain cells are gone.

Used to be a very nice little town. Large separation of classes there. Pretty cliquish population.
