My wife has a 2021 Summit Reserve with the 5.7 Hemi

Nice comfortable vehicle with lots of features. No major issues just a few recalls

Her battery has been dead a couple times in the morning can’t figure out why. Boost it off and let it run and then it’s fine. I think she leaves a light on and just won’t admit it

8years for me with one major parts replacement, in the 7th year. My Jeep has been a case of “take care it and it'll take care of you”.

That said, current Stellantis management does not fill me with confidence. But industry has gone to shite and you can pretty much say that about everyone’s management these days. Even fabled Toyota is turning out clunkers these days.

Remember how many of those cool 2014-15 era grand Cherokees were on the road when they first came out? How many of those do you see out in the road today?

Seems like they don’t have the longevity of other suvs.

Had a 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland.

Never again. Don’t do it.

Just the opposite for us. 2014 GC Overland with only 79,000 miles, we baby it. Great loaded SUV. Has taken us from BR to Los Angeles twice. Great ride and handling. Engine reliable. Early on the transmission had to be reprogrammed. Hope to keep it two more years. I recommend it but they are pricey now.

They were great cars in the 2000s, but they are pure shite after 2010. One of the worst vehicles ever. My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee would consistently break down if it got too hot, and the mechanics could never figure out why.

Don’t do it. Seriously.

Before you celebrate with a new 4Runner, you might want to check out Toyota's disastrous new engine rollout. Blown engines, no parts to fix, hundreds of thousands of trucks and SUVs affected.

Had a 2014 and had to get the transmission replaced at 20k miles. Also had to get the stupid oil filled engine mount supports replaced after one busted about 6 years after purchase. Other than that it was a good ride with a nice interior. Still a Chrysler though so I got rid of it at 110k miles.

Co-worker drove a 2022 until about a week ago. Starting having issues (not sure what) and replaced it with a 2024.

Had a few of them over the years because I really liked them. That being said, don’t do it.
The problems over time and crappy dealer service aren’t worth it.

Buy a Consumer Reports, they're not a fan of the Jeep.

I think most modern, new cars will probably give you 1-3 years trouble-free. If you tend to keep cars longer, you might be concerned with reliability ratings.

I drive stuff for 8-10 years, so I buy Toyota.
