Seriously, I always wondered about that. If it was common for them to marry someone in their family especially in some of those small villages. No, they don’t. The Taliban have always given the death penalty for Bacha Bazi … sex with boys. It was the so called Northern Alliance… our Allies… that loved boy diddling. We have several instances where US troops tried to save Afghan boys from the sexual attentions of NA men, and were ordered not to interfere because it was a “local cultural thing”, and stopping it would hurt the alliance.
Say what you will about that Taliban, but they cracked down on that stuff immediately.

I agree with the sentiment but we should've never been there in the first place.
These countries don't want to be a democracy and honestly need a dictatorship to function properly, they don't know any other way.
