And no, I’m not joking. It’s a whole cultural thing over there.

That's true and we handed the pedophile boy loving war lords millions in cash .... it was usually Ivy League educated multilingual female CIA field agents doing the delivery.

I agree with the sentiment but we should've never been there in the first place.

Afghanistan was not Iraq. You cant just omit 9/11 with hindsight. Did Bush totally frick it up by letting bin Laden escape Tora Bora? Absolutely. Was it intentional? I didnt think so at the time but I lean more towards it 20 years later. But going into Afghanistan to kill bin Laden was required.

Without a doubt an extreme example, but this is a reason why I am grateful for that the 1st amendment limits the governments establishment of religion and why I am always skeptical of theocrats.
You are aware that this is the founding fathers' (who were all, practically speaking, Christians) entire premise of writing the laws for our constitutional republic? Imagine that: Christians with common, logical, forward thinking sense, and who weren't caught up on the religiosity of their spirituality.

How does killing your daughter for dating a Christian and becoming a Christian stop a "generation long feud" from occurring? Rather... it stops some perceived "shame" from being brought to the family.
For some reason I thought I remembered reading that marrying someone from another Abrahamic religion wasn't a stonable offense?

I guess I could look it up, but I've had my fair share of reading about that disgusting excuse of a religion over the years.

Without the 2nd amendment, the 1st amendment doesn’t mean shite. Think really hard and objectively at what I just said and don’t forget it.

I have been assured by Democrats and feminists that the United States of America is the most repressive country when it comes to the treatment of women.

From your tone I’m not certain if you realize that we’re generally in agreement in our respective positions on this.

Hell... they've had "men" over here "honor kill" their daughters for far less than that... dating non Muslim men, one girl refused an arranged marriage to her first cousin... becoming to Westernized... in general, bringing "shame" to their families. Real bang-up religion they've got for themselves.

Liberals believe this is beautiful and needed in the evil oppressive West

I just completed that entire article and the only thing I took from it is this...Afghanistan is pretty frickin' far from the gay alphabet. I mean really frickin' far.

Had a friend who served over there and told me there was a saying by the afghani men that roughly translated too: “Women are for procreation, boys are for love making”

If he was at all true, that’s exceedingly screwed up.

some historians think that's exactly what would have happened to the virgin mary. they conclude that, she got pregnant and joseph accepted it. however, in order to prevent her from getting stoned to death for adultery, they convinced all the darwins that god did it.
