Afghanistan was not Iraq. You cant just omit 9/11 with hindsight. Did Bush totally frick it up by letting bin Laden escape Tora Bora? Absolutely. Was it intentional? I didnt think so at the time but I lean more towards it 20 years later. But going into Afghanistan to kill bin Laden was required.

Without a doubt an extreme example, but this is a reason why I am grateful for that the 1st amendment limits the governments establishment of religion and why I am always skeptical of theocrats.

How does killing your daughter for dating a Christian and becoming a Christian stop a "generation long feud" from occurring? Rather... it stops some perceived "shame" from being brought to the family.

Had a friend who served over there and told me there was a saying by the afghani men that roughly translated too: “Women are for procreation, boys are for love making”
