Understand, I’m not advocating anything one way or another. But like I said, if he already knows she’s fricking the BF, then it’s kind of silly to get hung up on location.

that’s part of the college education :lol. you’ve got to learn discretion and diplomacy, I was a wild man in college and my parents knew it, I didn’t flaunt it in their faces and observed/respected their morals/principals when around them

Solution to your problem: Why not compromise? She can stay with me, an unaligned third party. And if she needs financial help with schooling, I may be able to do something for her. Looks like her mom I hope.

Until she’s financially independent, nope.

What percentage of the bill will you be footing for your bastard child when he knocks her up and bails? That dictates how much say you have.

Hell yeah brother, let's take all agency away from our adult kids and then wonder why they can't make a life decision for themselves when they are in their mid-20's!

Just accept that she is getting the D and move on.

She left Tally because the last storm was going over there and they closed down. That’s why she was there. Could not control it. Now this storm closer to Gainesville she went and got him and they came back home basically.

I have not read all 8 pages so my thoughts may be redundant:
It is our job as parents to help our kids become independent adults. Adults that learn how to balance risks and benefits.
The issue I would have focused on was the idiocy of driving south with a major storm headed that way and an entire state evacuation in process. Her actions there tell me she acts in emotion (I need my boyfriend) and not logic (I can’t make things better for him in a wise manner).
I assume her having sex with him takes on the same decision process. The fact that her mother “took her side” just reinforces the fact that she has been taught by an emotional mother to be an emotional adult.
OP: your biggest mistake was getting in an argument with your daughter and for that you need to take the lead and apologize (for anything you said out of anger). But tell her you will never apologize for being overprotective of her safety (driving south) or overprotective of her future (having sex while young which could transform her life).
For those of you who say “everybody has sex that young and dad needs to chill out”. You have no idea how many women out there who have lived with financial struggles trying to raise a baby without a father OR the number of adult women who live with the guilt of having aborted a baby when they were young.
OP is just a dad who is trying to help his young daughter grow into a wise adult woman. The type of woman that is prepared to raise great grandchildren of his.
OP- I don’t question your heart or your intent but I can question your anger. Get that right so your little girl can hear your wisdom.

So you’re pissed. Your daughter is upset. Y’all had a huge fight. All you did was cockblock. They’re already boning and they’ll continue to bone. Stopping her from getting dicked this one night isn’t accomplishing anything. Except now she is pissed and is going to make sure to dicked extra just to spite you.

As a Dad, you would have let your son's 18 y/o GF go pick him up when a storm is coming? Or would you have went and got him yourself?
I'm not calling into question two horny young adults, I'm questioning the beta Dad.

His mom is just as strict and would not even stay here either so… Both families agree.
