That would be the zenith of the acting career of Big Bang Theory's Penny - getting vomit slimed by a monster. Can't imagine how proud those kids' parents were at them getting their first commercial.

Just two more days. I can't hardly wait, me.

Yep. Your wife says the coast is clear.

Is this allowed in a GMT thread? Or do we have to be civil?

TBH I'd rather be on your charter than your wife.
No, not those two, but they would have been interesting subjects. I meant those with whom I've been acquainted.

It's really fascinating. Day after day we see stories like this. Do these teachers watch or read the news?

I suppose the temptation is just too great for them to exercise good judgment, especially since some of the students are by then openly bi or gay. Saw two holding hands in the mall yesterday, clearly in a relationship and similarly even at the school fair. Can't share any of their photos so here is a detention pic from the net.

When Nicks sings I always hear South Park Stevie. Give me Maggie Adams with Foxes and Fossils on "Landslide" any hour, day, month, year, century.

I have given money and automobiles to people with no expectation of anything in return. That was simply generosity. However, I've lost two friends by loaning them 2-3 thousand with the expectation they would pay back. Expect empty promises. "I'll be getting a tax refund." or "After my honeymoon in Vegas."

Best advice I can offer:

1. Have her produce documentation of the dental work she needs done and who will do it. Then pay the provider directly if the work is justified and not just cosmetic. See how badly she need it and wants it rather than just an excuse for a handout.

2. As someone else mentioned, if she has a job or income have her sign a promissory note, even if it has payment of a minimal amount for a long period. If she is capable of paying more or paying early it can be adjusted or renegotiated. Ex. A loan of $9,000 at 6 percent for 10 years would carry a payment of roughly $100/mo. ($99.92). That is a long term (though with interest), so go for something shorter. Make it payable to you, not to wife/sister, who may be reluctant to enforce it. She falls behind by 90 days, go to small claims/city court and get a judgment and garnish her wages or seize property.

Edit: By the way, an implant with a bone graft by an oral surgeon can be had for less than $2K, so maybe she wants gold grillz.

Maybe I can use this as a reason to convince my wife not to allow our daughter to go there?

Well, Sacred Heart is the school where girls go who aren't smart enough to get admitted or succeed at St. Mary's Dominican. But if your goal is simply to keep her away from gay or bi-curious girls, better home school.
Putting an attractive young bi or lesbian woman in a NOLA Catholic all-girls high school is a little like throwing Brer Rabbit in the briar patch. What could possibly go wrong with 800 girls and no boys?

How does that differ from using an air purifier agnostically?
Do girlfriends on the sandy banks of the Comite River outside BR count as a nude beach if no one else is nude? Two different awesomely beautiful LSU coeds.

If I only had a Delorean with a flux capacitor - damn you for making me remember.

Sorry to hear. A parent's greatest hurt is loss of a child. As a couple others have pointed out, I reiterate that you don't have to be stoic and strong to absorb the pain of other family. It is part of the human experience to have emotion. I have found it best in the long run to openly acknowledge with the family that you all miss having your child with you, and pray that healing grace be received by all.
Can't think of any truly tomboyish girls in my family. Daughter was a girly girl who created abstract art from age 7, played piano and flute, was on stage and in films as a child actor, singer and model, walked in fashion shows and designed and made clothing. Not athletic in sports but could jump a thousand pound horse over a fence at age 9 and shoot skeet with a 12 gauge at 11.

I guess I never spent a lot of time thinking about his reasoning, but what was the reason for going West first and conquering instead of going East, if that's "all he cared about"

Hitler had made a non-aggression pact with Stalin, to provide for the division of lands lying between Germany and Russia, the objective being to keep Stalin pacified until he was ready. His army entered Austria bloodlessly the night before an Austrian national referendum on whether to join Germany, fearing the outcome of the vote might be unfavorable. He proceeded on to Czechoslovakia, with no real consequences. This emboldened him to attack Poland in 1939, but Britain and France had a treaty with Poland that required them to declare war on Germany, thus causing Hitler to turn to the West to deal with France and Britain. His timeline for attacking Russia was also delayed by the necessity of helping the Italians in the Balkans and Africa.

He made numerous tactical and judgmental errors. Stalingrad had little logistical value. He would have been better served to throw his might at Moscow and sooner in the year, rather than splitting up his forces into multiple objectives in the manner he did. Had too much belief in the invincible quality of his armies.

and this guy wearing a tie.

A D-Day veteran recalled that one of the soldiers landing on the beach in the first wave with him wore a garish colorful necktie, saying that the Germans would see it and be frightened of him. Later on the beach he saw a soldier stumbling around disoriented with his shoulder and arm blown off - wearing that tie. Countless millions of similar horrors were experienced by all sides and civilians throughout the war, and other wars. Truly is hell.

Man, That was just me throwing out my personal experience. Not some polished piece. My daughter is about to be in high school and this shite...I know it has to happen but man do I miss my baby girl.

I understood that it was somewhat extemporaneous, but it nevertheless is quality. I've known of songwriters/composers inspired to spit out an excellent, if not classic, piece within 15 minutes when locked in.

I've mentioned before that I have viewed my experience as a single dad to have been very different and surreal in many respects. I envisioned having a son to train as an athlete, but had a daughter with an IQ in the "profoundly gifted" range. It seemed she flashed through childhood at the speed of light. By age nine tested at the level of a young adult and refused to sit at the kids' table at Thanksgiving. My concerns included: that she did not have peers her own age to interact with socially and felt abnormal (she said until she was around other doctors); that she would fall into an unrealistic pursuit of perfectionism; and that she would be a target of kidnapping due to also being physically beautiful. Took her college entrance exams and started going to classes at a university at the age of eleven. Like where did my little child go so quickly?

Should be published, copyrighted. Your best here by far.
Patricia Arquette. I used to sometimes catch re-runs of her tv series "Medium" in the middle of the night (only redeeming effect of insomnia) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend if you have never seen it. My daughter's acquaintance Holli had a recurring role in a few episodes.

So you want to tag team? Personally I'm not into necrophilia, but their remains were identified recently if you are so inclined, all yours.

Well, since they have been corpses for more than a hundred years...not much to talk about huh.
A couple of inconsequential dummy lights (related to limited slip in icy weather, in south La.) were flickering on my dash for a couple years until I stopped at dealership and asked to check for a loose electrical connection. Service department told the alternator was failing and I needed $1700 replacement, although I had my mechanic try to ID the problem just a week before and knew the alternator was working fine. Other Toyota dealership confirmed the issue was a bad electrical connection related to replacing solenoid years ago.

In the new landscape of professional rent-a-team college football, I could care less whether any championships are won, but only expect to watch some athletic contests on tv in which one side is wearing my university's colors.
Bumping the thread since y'all letting it slip while I'm busy. I know there are more babes out there who haven't been shared. Also insomnia check-in.

Yorkshire, England. But it's actual origin is Danish, due to the Vikings control of that area for a time. Thank my ancestor Bjorn.
Lost a parent this past year and considered it not a day of mourning, but a day of thanksgiving - that we were blessed to have them in our lives for a very long time. Seems obvious that you were blessed to have him for a father. Peace be unto you and yours.

I am confident that you are correct. She was popular in Japan and her wall poster bikini ads for Sapporo Beer surely inspired young boys' imaginations. Phoebe did have some Asian heritage, which some associated with Japan, but her maternal ancestor was born in Shanghai, and was Chinese/Filipino. This is her sister Valerie.

And you want us to believe you have a family. Ha!
Like Alice in Wonderland, down the YouTube rabbit hole I've discovered a complete universe of singers who almost all can be daisy-chained together by collaborations - more than 250 of them. Here is one of the Irish, Mia Black, with Boyce Avenue in Florida, USA.

Beautiful women are the most wonderful thing in the known universe - to look at.

FIFY. I've know a few who were quite modest about their looks, and wonderful humans - and others who were quite narcissistic and might slice and dice you like a Cuisinart if the mood hit them. Even a woman who seems stable for years can suddenly want to hold a serious conversation while waving a loaded .38 pistol. Unfortunately, it is impossible to tell one from the other simply by appearance. But we can and do imagine that they are as pleasant, personable and fun as they appear to be.

Everything in the "universe" of which we are aware is actually the contents of a snow globe paperweight on God's desk.

In the moment, did you notice a clear difference in the feeling, and if so, did you therefore focus more attention on that one?

No clear difference or preference for me. I tended to be a serial monogamist for life, but for about 18 months had a relationship with three nubile 19-20 year old LSU coeds who appreciated each other as well. Each was equally wonderful as far as I was concerned.
