The bridge was needed, but not at the expense of an arse raping of the citizens of the State. Wonder which legislators got hefty contributions to their campaign chests to sell out their constituents.

Physical attractiveness can be a tremendous social advantage, or even a career for young women, but sometimes I feel a bit sad for those whose narcissistic self-worth entirely depends on their looks. It can be an amazing run for 30 years or more but ultimately Father Time is also undefeated. The same psychology can apply to both male and female athletes I suppose, and some have no purpose in life after the glory days.

But do you know about the real moon conspiracy? It's simply a balloon that is released at appropriate times and then retrieved each day. No need to actually go to it.

If you want confirmation of the level of functioning (or perhaps "disfunction" is a more accurate word) of the average citizen, just look at the election results.

Now name a QB.
Mike Miley was named by a previous poster, and was one of the best baseball players ever at LSU (the football offense sucked due to scheme). Granted, I don't think it would be possible to be both a good QB and a good pitcher at the level LSU would expect, with the only possible exception being joining the baseball team late after Spring football to be a one-inning type closer ala Chad Jones.

Took my daughter to a Hooters at age 7, since it was next to the hotel where we were staying post Katrina. She was super intelligent and mature and would have complained about you and your buddies being loud and obnoxious as you do about kids being kids.

Prime Time and Bo say "Hold my beer."
Also Jared Mitchell, football WR, MLB first round draftee.
And Gerald Keigley was LSU All-SEC WR and starting 3rd Base, drafted by the Yankees.

1945. Hundreds of thousands of young American men had sacrificed their all to save the world from the tyranny of the Nazis and Japan. Women and black citizens called upon to mobilize and contribute, hastening the path toward equality for all. Then the U.S. was instrumental in seeing war criminals were prosecuted by a court of law. No lethal drone strikes on tiny boats that posed little or no threat without producing evidence, arrests, or trials.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler when she was on The Sopranos, who was in New Orleans with her father (who I knew). At 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning she was absolutely shitfaced from a night in the French Quarter.

Alison Brie, on a film set, very pretty and petite
My daughter was a child model/actress and so we met other models, actors, producers and directors. Probably the best known female would be Zendaya, who was then a tall, slender and rather plain teenager, before the Spiderman films. Expert make-up would do wonders for her in subsequent years.

Didn't know about the park but it has been on my bucket list to go there after Croatia, maybe next summer. If you care to see a little of the scenery, singer Luana Toader ("To water"), with a pretty decent video production for a 17 year old. Her singing "Dulcea ?i tandra mea fiara" with the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra is awesome also. Can skip the setup to 1:25.

My first wife got hers enhanced after we were divorced, although what she had before had been quite satisfactory as she had been a bikini model. We remained on relatively good terms and after she got the enhancement she came over to the house to show me what a great job she got. She wanted to remarry once she realized what a mistake she had made. I didn't take the bait as I had moved on. She was absolutely right about the quality work of her surgeon though.

Were you ever tempted to add some nose art to your plane?
Photo courtesy of the National WWII Museum, July 1941, before Pearl Harbor and entry into the war. Twenty year old Jane Russell two years before her film debut in Howard Hughes' "The Outlaw", the release of which was delayed by censors due to Hughes' insistence on prominently displaying her physical attributes in the picture. She of course was later featured on planes' nose art and as a pinup to "boost the morale" of the troops. Guess they couldn't say "provide fap material". Do gentlemen really prefer blondes?

Thanks for sharing, OP. Just a few days ago I rummaged through a box of old documents, two dollar bills and dollar coins and found a little Ziplock baggie containing a few of my daughter's baby teeth and a letter she wrote to the tooth fairy apologizing for having misplaced one. Saving things like that can bring back good memories. I sometimes wish we could share stories about the funny things that our kids did but there are a few folks around here who want to be edgy and snipe at other posters.
