I'd put Metairie up against any enclave in the state. More fine ones per capita, and more capita.

Enjoyed that, kind of an atmospheric groove. Been appreciating bass lines more lately (I was a brass player so tended toward horn bands). The excellent young sax guy here with Ellen (Noah Hahn) is from Germany, but oddly enough when he sings in English he could go straight to Nashville.

The O-T needs a feature whereby we can collectively opt out if more than 50 percent reply STOP.

So apparently your sister by adoption is still a candidate, with judicial authorization. Hmm, never a Hallmark movie though.

I've said here before that I expected to have boys to do the sports thing, but had an exceptional daughter instead. I've mentioned a couple funny episodes, and sometimes I am tempted to relate some of the surreal happenings, but surely would be downvoted to hell.

In hindsight it was by far the best thing to ever happen in my life and gave me incredible satisfaction, insight and entertainment. Wish you guys the same, except for those teen 6 months when she didn't speak to me. Mentally she had been an adult long before then, but emotionally she was still on the chronologic track.

OP, the very best thing you can do at her age is to read with her every night at bedtime. Mine was reading on her own by age 3.

I saw this on tv recently and thought to myself, "I wonder who that little actress was, and if she has since done anything else." If I had googled it and saw who it was I would have been shocked to see it was the same girl on Young Sheldon. Would never have guessed.

I guess that is why Dillard's department store had a large ad in the newspaper for their custom bra fitting event. Wish my school guidance counselor had told me about a possible career as a professional bra fitter. I was nevertheless able through diligent practice to acquire some ability to remove them, but it would have been nice to get paid for it, even minimum wage.
