Got water under the house (house is on pier and beam) off of Highland near Lee Drive. No real issues until about an hour ago then it started rising fast. Insane

A fire truck keeps coming back and forth/on and off the interstate at siegen. He’s been doing this for almost an hour. Maybe that’s why? I can’t figure out where he stops when he gets onto siegen.

Check Home Depot in your area before you go for fans/dehumidifiers/saws etc. They will all be gone the closer you get to br. May need to bring water too

If I come in I’ll def get requests and do a big shopping trip before I leave here

The rain letting up is definitely a good thing but what’s concerning is the 90% chance of rain tomorrow

happens at our house with every hard rain since 2016. Means the storm drains are full and backing up. Try to not flush so it doesn't overflow.

That’s where I was during the ‘16 floods you should be good unless you are at the bottom of the hill that Webb park neighborhood is on.

True but is there any chance with the continuous rain that the rivers can back up again?

I said it earlier in the thread, but everyone is getting a lesson tonight on the difference between a Flood Warning and a Flash Flood Warning.

The only bright spot for those with water is that it won't sit there for days. I flooded in 2016, I know that's of very little relief tonight.

That does help. Thanks

I’m stuck at work my house is off Essen between I10 and I12 in cypress point which is the neighborhood that hugs the i10 interstate wall. Think I’m good?

Rain finally stopping in W.Feliciana but the winds are Tropical depression strength. Power is out and with winds like this I expect it to be out for a while

Don’t have the location but there are a few being dispatched to help rescue people off the roofs of their houses.

Sherwood near I-12. Situation

Rain has slacked off a bit, water receded slightly and power back on...so hopefully that means the worst is past and the waters aren’t going to back up like in 16.

I’m breathing a little easier and my a-hole has unpuckered slightly

Yeah my front is fine, we're up off the road and the roads not flooded much.

My back yard holds a lot of water naturally, and we have a drainage ditch dug that goes out to the road, but that drainage is having a hell of a time keeping up.
