Non stop pouring here off of Highland. Hoping that your reliable city officials have cleared all of the drainage ditches

So what is the deal. Is the gulf just popping one system after another up or is this a stall?

I'm around college, north of i10. Back yard is a lake but water level has remained the same over the last hour or so. If we get more heavier stuff I'm gonna be puckering real hard.

I’m at my girlfriends apartment on airline highway by bayou manchac. It’s been pouring here for hours. Those ponds between bayou manchac and the complex are fricked. One of them is overtopping it’s banks.

That area where the apartments are used to be a retention area for all that water.

The newish complex? That area flooded a lot when those were under construction. I always wondered how that would work when people were living in them. I hope y’all (and your cars) stay safe.

Does anyone know if you can take perkins to seigen and get up to 12 via airline or is the flooding stalling out cars that way?

Like I said.. rainfall rates. This flooding is because it can't drain fast enough. In 2016 it was because the river was backing everything up.

This is a highlight of the difference between a flood warning and a flash flood warning.

Yep, apparently they brought in a ton of dirt to build the apartments really high up and then dug some serious retention ponds. Hopefully the rain let’s off for a little bit to help the draining.
