@NWS
Additional heavy rain will likely continue to cause considerable flash and urban flooding impacts across portions of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana Tuesday. Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected Tuesday across portions of eastern Texas.

This is notable. It is setting up to be very bad for places that aren't very lucky tomorrow.

With everything that has happened lately, how lucky has the sin city of New Orleans been? They’ve dodged the 2016 flood, 2 devastating hurricanes, the worst of the 2021 freeze, and now this flood.

Several parts of the city has flooded just about every year since 2019, we had a bad freeze in 2018, tornado in 2017 and last week.

New Orleans doesn’t dodge bullets. Trust me. We have enough to deal with.

Fair points but are they definitely out on this round? I can’t tell what’s going to happen on the northshore

Don't go clicking on storm tracks thinking you're going to check storm speed/motion. It is all over the damn place with this mess.

We are extremely close to taking on water inside the house off of Perkins.

This is no bueno.

Damn, really? I don’t want to see anyone take on water inside their homes.

If y’all got the 10-15 inches Lake Charles got today, New Orleans would look like the city of Atlantis.

If he's not a bever, you need to kick him in the nuts. If he's a bever, shoot him.

Water almost in our garage at this point. Sand bags at the front door. We've surpassed June 6, 2019 and the 2016 flood at our particular location.

Rainfall rates are higher than they were in 2016. It won't rain as long. But rain is falling faster than it did then. Some places in Ascension have gotten 10 inches in 8 hours. In 2016 it was more like 25 inches in 48 hours.

Like I said.. rainfall rates. This flooding is because it can't drain fast enough. In 2016 it was because the river was backing everything up.
