COA is a parish wide tax and entity.

I asked this in the other thread that was anchored.
But I wonder how many other wills Amar has been named in since she took over the COA?

Has there been any discussion of whether a doctor examined the 95 year old to see if she was considered to be in sound mind beforehand? Was the signing of the will and discussion of the trust videotaped?

Can we start an investigation into how she paid back that loan?
That's a damn good place to look.
I'm sure she had to collect an additional amount for interest and other fees as well.

Taking 20 years to close a $300K estate would lead me to believe otherwise.
it's a trust that lasts until the youngest grandchild reaches a certain age. i thought it was a trust when this first broke and Gary's article about it last night confirmed it was a trust (he quoted language from the will)
basically the argument of TCA/Gary is that the kids are mad that they were cut out of the will and it gave all the property to the grandkids (via trust, over a long time). then they argue the family has stolen the estate property (probably true in pure legal terms), hurting the grandchildren. hell in his last article he was even claiming TCA wanted to tell the court she didn't want the executor fees (which kind of flies in the face of earlier reports by the family about her contact and the attempt to sell the house).

Where's the St George petition?

That can't be right that she's sympathizing with the criminals. I know this family personally and they fall squarely into the "Uncle Toms" category

as best i can tell, TCA drove the woman to the SU "Elder Law clinic" where writing wills is standard

Soooo....they can cite her "track record" of donating her own money and use it to say she's not a deceitful person.
But when we use Alton Sterlings track record nobody gives a damn, he's an angel.

My stance is that anything stupid the kids did was predicated by Amar's actions in calling about the will before the body was cold.
If some stranger called up right after my grandmother died a few years ago and claimed there was a will we had never heard of to be executed by a third party instead of family, I would have smelled a rat too.

you do something selfless like that and you get one free pass to rob an elderly woman

Exactly!
If I were them I'd say she was not in sound mind unless there is proof otherwise.

I covered the trust on P.2, they don't release assets to the grandkids until they are 30 which is absurd. But you are 100% correct that they are going to go after this family now. It will be their next move, evil children stealing grandkids inheritance. "LOOK OVER THERE! Don't watch what I am doing!" It's like a magicians trick. Classic misdirection.
I understand that people suck and are only in it for themselves. That is human nature. My question is this: When they plan this out, are they honest with each other in private that they are plotting to steal and frick this family over? Or do they lie to each other and pretend they are doing God's work?

When Tasha Clark-Amar took over the COA and they were in such a deficit that they couldn't pay employees, she and her husband took out a personal line of credit to pay her staff. Does this sound like a woman who would steal or be deceitful?
I would rather not answer that question. Because it kind of seems obvious what the answer is.

Both? They are honest with each other and call it gods work.

Is this the equivalent of "My bad?" They just want to drop the issue and go back a week by refusing the money? No fricking way.

Of course TCA says she doesn't want the money now. She's not brain-dead, she's trying to cover her arse and not look corrupt when she's been caught

Given the connectedness of the family at question (not the victims), an investigation in this direction wouldn't hurt either.
