First year at Southern law we had an elderly black lady from out of state get an oral assignment so wrong it was embarrassing for her. She researched the wrong criminal law and it was a civil law assignment. Prof asked her to stay after class. Think she changed to a different graduate program. The next semester she was working at the school and no longer attending the law school.

Do you remember this gem?
In 2020, the Louisiana Supreme Court:
* Canceled the traditional July 2020 in-person bar exam because of COVID conditions.
* Replaced the normal three-day exam with a shorter one-day exam.
* Ordered that there would be no in-person Louisiana bar exam in 2020. Instead, applicants could take remote administrations in August and October.
* Conducted the remote exams in an unusual format: open-book, without live proctoring, with answers submitted electronically.
If I’d had known I’d had finished my last semester. FFS.

Ignoring for a moment which school is doing it and regarding which profession, I think the average person would be in support of the idea in a vacuum. I hear constant bitching about four year degrees having a ton of elective fluff that has nothing to do with job readiness. So, they are carving a year of that out of the curriculum.

Yep yep. His stated reason has always been that LSU didn't allow first year students to work, and he didn't want to give up his job as a DA investigator. Whether that's the whole reason or not, I certainly don't have any personal knowledge, but I also have no reason to doubt him on it.

Yeh. This was an automobile insurance assignment for a miss and run. She had to research Oklahoma state laws as we all had different states. Her IRAC rule used crime law and her conclusion was that they would be convicted.

IIRC at the time, Southern had a part time evening program. LSU does or did not. He graduated before I was there but I did the part time evening program.

Create the fiction that you too can be a prestigious attorney so they can keep funding their salaries and retirements.

Does SUNO still have an 8% graduation rate?
I remember when Bobby Jindal was trying to close SUNO but of course was labeled a racist and as a result, upper education was forced to take massive budget cuts.
