True, but it will be important to secure a top 16 seed in a 24 team playoff. Winning back to back road games in December as a 22 seed will be almost impossible.

USL and La Tech should stay in FBS. UL-Funroe should drop down to FCS. NW State should just become a Junior College.

Meh. Teams seeded 17-24 will just be there for show. Imagine having to win back-to-back road games in December against top 16 opponents just to make the quarterfinals!

USC will likely finish 8-4 or so and Riley will indeed return in 2027. I don't see where USC has much of an out at this time.

Indeed. You can beat ULL and Fresno State with those great freshmen, but not the Oregons. I'm afraid this USC team is a shade below 2025, but we will find out tonight.
