5 shootings since Sunday. Latest victims overnight 16 and 17. I’m sure they were just enjoying the start of their summer vacation looking forward to college in the Fall.

What a cesspool my hometown has become.

Off to a Good Start

Also a hot summer usually equates to more violent crime. People have less patients in the heat, and tempers flare more easily.

We talking about pre-existing medical conditions here?

Yeah but Oakland has some lax public BBQ laws. That is going to come around and bite them in the arse.

Hurry! We must have a rapid public transit system to connect plank road to LSU’s campus. It will revitalize NBR!!!

It's not a homicide if you don't call the cops

Broome's new police force will have zero answer. Baton Rouge is screwed.

Oakland AA population is shrinking. The whites and Latinos are moving in. This is why their murder rates are coming down.

Now all we have to do is gentrify Nerf Baton Rougz. Have whites take over their economic development district actually doing something with the money, and bring in a Whole Foods shutting down small grocery store check cashing liquor stores. Black on black murders will stop in this area.

People need to realize how messed up it is. A buddy of mine told me on an average night, LSU police have more officers on campus than 2nd district has on street. 2nd district covers from Florida street south to bluebonnet and the casino

I don't know if the explanation is this simple, but it's true. High temps = urban murders.

I don’t understand. I went to watch Gravy’s live video where he cries and is outraged by all of this violence and found nothing. Did he move? Is he on vacation?

Hospitals have more patients in the heat, unless they are DOA.

Did Baton Rouge go on some hidden revitalization and crime went away for a certain amount of time? To me, it’s been bad since the early 90’s. Look at the murder rate from 1990-2000. You all act like Baton Rouge was immune to murder and was Mayberry at one point.
