I broke up with Marriot over this. I can’t stand Pepsi.

Well, most people are retards then. I've administered scores of blind taste tests over the years to people who claim to HATE one while LOVING the other. The fail rate is like 98%. And even then, people linger and take forever to make their picks. Odd behavior for HATING one of them.

You are not alone. I haven't ordered a drink (even if it would save me money) at a Pepsi restaurant in over a decade.

You should have been avoiding subway because of the disgusting food. Not the flavor of liquid diabetes.

you realize, given the parameters of your “study”, this is almost statistically impossible correct? Just guessing should average out to 50% correct +/- a few percent depending on how many you ask.

I seriously don’t know anyone who rather Pepsi over Coke.

My family, who are all from and still live in suburban Pittsburgh, are Pepsi people. But in fairness, that's all that is offered up there. It is a Pepsi city/area.

I saw The Shed off Exit 57 did the same. Ribs were great though.

Scores? You just carry around sodas and cups for ad hoc tests?

Maybe people that don’t drink it wouldn’t know the difference, but people that drink it often clearly would know. Pepsi products taste nothing like their Coke counterpart. You can get tricky I guess with foreign versions that use real sugars or different sweeteners.

I’m actually in marketing and did a taste test on Coke, Pepsi and Sam’s Choice. This wasn’t a test to identify the brand, but for people to pick their favorite. Sam’s won by a landslide… but even that is a flavor I don’t care for.

that is not a decision Pepsi gets to make. That is a customer decision. DP is a separate company. Just like CFA serves DP but is a Coke customer. Same with McDs

But probably the biggest complaint I have about moving from Mississippi to Iowa, is the amount of restaurants that serve Pepsi over Coke…..

It's the same in Western PA.

Obviously, the customer has a say, but when Pepsi has fountain exclusivity and enough valves, Pepper will always be on the fountain unit. There is no Dr Pepper fountain bag-in-a-box exclusivity contracts with Coke or Pepsi. It is a free for all. KDP sets it this way on purpose and it is very smart.

I work for one of the companies in question, and know exactly how it works. No room for debate here.
