I just gotta doubt that - unless there is some sort of definitional glitch in that statement.

Big masses do not change their direction of rotation easily - certainly not without all sorts of physical disruptions.

What could possibly cause a jillion tons of mass to suddenly start rotating in an opposite direction?? === unimaginable.

Perhaps some variation in an observed rotation with respect to some other rotating object may be part of the explanation.

But an inertial reversal?? - not a chance.

This may be the worst movie I have ever seen. It's incredible how stupid it is.

But our study shows that it was spinning one way, stopped, and began spinning the other way. GTFO

They said it previously changed direction in the early 1970s and predicted the next about-face would be in the mid-2040s.

I’m inclined to believe rather than being caused by global warning, it contributes to it in some way. Remember global cooling in the 70’s?

No longer blaming shite on Mercury retrograde. Now blaming the Earth’s spinning core.

"Earth's Inner Core spinning is fake bro."

....... then explain what creates the earth's magnetic field.

just two weeks and the core can rotate back the right way...

but for real, i wonder that will affect, if at all, the magnetosphere and the protection it gives Earth from cosmic and solar radiation....

They can just make this up and we have absolutely no way of proving it
