I'm sure it will take a long time to restore 100% of power but again, it cannot and should not take that long to restore a transmission line. If it is that important major resources will be dedicated to fixing that. NO WAY it takes a month.

It really depends. People don’t just keep a ton of spare high voltage towers laying around that will match exactly what is needed.

Guy on FOX 8 says he's worried because booster shots were supposed to start in two weeks and the power outage may delay that.

Pretty sure they'd have to build a brand new tower. That doesn't happen in a week

Also gonna have to fish out the lines from the river so as not to shut down marine traffic. Depending on how things fell. These would be massive towers as they need to be stupid tall for ship traffic. Also I would wager lines like that aren’t something just laying on the shelf. It will be a long time before most of the city is up and running.

Got soaking wet under my front door awning to get video of BR weather for y'all. It's a small price to pay compared to my friends further south and further east.

An even less exciting video of the back yard

You'll have to let it finish processing and all that YouTube shite.

My late grandmother is named Ida. She would never return from the grave to wreck havoc on her home like this.

Good news is the new style structures they erected in my area after Laura are fricking beasts.

Big giant H style . Not even a power blip for delta a few weeks later. Significant upgrades were done.
