gonna go right up the middle of Livingston Parish.

If it stays on its projected path, I will be literally a mile from the very center. My little ones and my wife are “camping” on the den floor and will fall asleep soon but I’m staying awake for the eventual hell that will come.

It pisses me off how unprepared officials were for this storm. There wasn't even a voluntary evacuation of St John Parish. They should have known there was going to be a ton of surge into LaPlace from the SW part of the Lake. They saw it during Issac. This was a stronger storm taking a similar path.

It caught people off guard for Isaac. It shouldn't have caught them off guard this time. You can't get fooled twice with hurricanes. I was warning about it yesterday.

Based on what I'm hearing from family and friends all of Lafourche and Terrebonne are fricked

I got family in Houma and Cut Off that stayed. Some with small children and pregnant wives. This feeling is sickening. They are capable as frick though so hopefully they are keeping above water

What i think happened was the mesovorticies weve been talking about got kicked off by the friction as it ran into its first actual bit of land.

I'm going to have to remember that when this is all over. I'll be heading there as soon as we're allowed back to help assess and repair. Not looking forward to what I'm going to see.

That’s what I hear. For a solid hour close to 100 mph. I don’t think they will stay next time. They just moved out of Laplace. So they are doing better. Geographically and the flooding.

Very much appreciate the prayers for my parents. I really wish they would have left.

Yeah. You see the workers who are currently on the clock now? Those should have been the only ones considered “essential” during covid
