What is the traffic like through BR and on towards Lafayette and Alexandria? I'm in Lutcher and have a son with a nice house in Shreveport, but I don't know if it's too late to risk the traffic. We've stayed so far because my wife works for Entergy and wants to be here for storm restoration Monday and onward, but with the damage they're showing, I don't know that will happen soon

Why do you keep saying it’s too late? You can pack some bags and be out by 8. If you have a family, you need to leave and stop acting like you have no options.

I can’t imagine it is too late to leave. It must be something else.

Assuming the path holds true. You really only need to get to about Slidell LA to be "safe", just stay on high ground.

West Mandeville to Slidell is not that far, if you’re going to leave Mandeville, you’re not going to find much different conditions in Slidell.

Tough call.. I’ll defer to others who know the area better, but I would also trust your gut.

I think many people don’t have the means to leave. Whether it’s a financial one or not a dependable vehicle, etc.

Our elected officials have royally dropped the ball on this one.

The pressure is still dropping and the storm is still intensifying.

If you truly can't and won't leave, I would stop looking at all of this stuff and just start focusing on the people around you and whatever small things you can do to prepare.

According to google maps, every road in Louisiana is wide open except I10 West from just west of Sulphur to Orange.

Hwy 90 in Biloxi is starting to flood. I would argue the time for getting out is getting short.
