Looks like a repeat of Katrina.

I think it is almost a clone of Camille. Both were devastating, but Ida is a lot smaller, but potentially stronger than Katrina.

This shite going to NOLA, yall better buckle up frickers. It is not going to be nice.

100%! Ida is going to be nasty! If you are in the path, you really should leave. If you stay, all bets are off.

Which storm was it that Ray Nagin went on TV and said it was 900 miles wide?

I have. But hurricanes feed on water. The lake could be a little key bump to rev it back up. That was my question

Mr rds dc.

Y’all see this thing going East maybe? I’ve been out of the news today. This would be good news for me.

Thanks

I'm having a difficult time following this. Is the expected shift to the east a good or bad thing for Ascension Parish?

In 40 minutes the NWS is going to have a new update which will be beneficial. Quit worrying about rumors. Wait 40 minutes and we will know what the experts are thinking and then we all will have z as better grasp of the situation.

Besides Ascension Parish straddles the River and I am positive those in Donaldsonville will see something different than someone on the eastern border.

It could be a worse storm and still not be worse than Katrina because the levees probably won’t disintegrate

What? I don’t think people understand what made Katrina bad for New Orleans.

The 15 feet of water was bad.

That’s just how some people treat these things. Best of luck to him, hope he makes it.

You'll be able to get out tomorrow morning. It might be raining but the wind impacts won't be onshore yet.
