You don’t have a candle lighter or a match?
It's probably a built on safety thing to make sure you're not cooking without ventilation.

Love gar balls w/ gar gravy. Are they open today?
I don't know where it's at or if such a place exists.

A couple days ago, the darkest part of the skid mark went from the coast up to NOLA. Now it’s mostly offshore.

This might have been discussed but I haven’t seen it. How frequently is the NHC updating stuff at this point?

Wonder if it can be removed?
I’m sure it can if you can cut the gas off at the meter or somewhere else. There’s also the option of bypassing the solenoid or you can jimmy the plunger and force it to stay open.

You should still be able to light the stove with a Bic Aim 'N Flame. That's how I cooked when we had that prolonged power outage during the February freeze. Just turn on the gas and click.

It is called "Wobble Watching". It certainly is not an exact science

Responded to someone else, but some newer ranges have safety features that cut off gas flow with a solenoid valve in the event of an outage. Dumb, I know.

I thought the same thing, but we've never been able to light it in an outage. I did some digging and people complain about models similar to mine having a solenoid shutoff that stops gas flow in the event of an outage. Seems like a good idea as long as you don't live in SELA.
That stinks but good to know. If I ever have to buy a new one, I'm going to make sure it doesn't come with that feature. Wonder if it can be removed?
Easily solved... gas grill, moved into the garage, or any protected area. Done this before. Actually was cooking eggs and bacon through the middle of Lily. At least until the first water oak crashed through the house.

Eye is slightly east of the NHC forecasted track. Most likely just a wobble.

Been out of pocket, as of now is BR or NOLA expected to get the brunt?

I think this has all been pretty well explained. What’s the question?
