NOAA, NWS, NHC, WPC,
NOAA is the umbrella organization.
The NWS does the weather.
The NHC and WPC are special offices within the NWS.

This just gets down to the NWS level. The NHC and WPC are beneath them.

Yeah the WPC 7-day forecast loops graphics haven't been updated in probably 15 years.

A professor who only taught 1000 level stuff loved using WPC maps so I think of them as the weather for retards.

That's a hazy forecast. There's just as many tracks coming into the Central Texas coast (Freeport down to Rockport) as into Louisiana. So no consensus yet.

you'd be correct. I'm already getting calls asking for contingency plans...

It's gonna have some shear to fight until it gets to the yucatan channel then it lightens up and looks good the whole way through the NW Gulf. Subject to change of course. OHC is really good in the NW Caribbean which helped Grace out there but Grace had less shear to deal with.

Well it looks like we will have to watch how close it comes to the tip of Cuba according to the graph

Won't be a consensus until a center is clearly visible. The cluster into Louisiana is very tightly knit though while the Texas clusters are extremely scattered. Not an encouraging sign.

That site is so G rated it’s hilarious and cringe at times, but still a great follow. I need the shenanigans here for my soul though.
