I keep trying to convince the lady we need to move out of LA and I'm about tired of having dealing with majors every year multiple times. Shitty weather is probably everywhere but not to this magnitude. When it's shitty in LA it always feels like it's catastrophic.

When I was looking at the GFS projections for the next two weeks, there really was very little in the Gulf. Was hoping that would hold even if the low 1/Tropical Storm projections away from Texas and LA did not.

Yeah you can see the swirl but you can tell it’s not down at the lower levels where it needs to be

Anybody else confused by all the entities with a hand in this? NOAA, NWS, NHC, WPC, etc. There ought to be a single organization with ultimate authority.

I’m working on my wife to move also. You’re right on about the weather, then throw failing infrastructure, economy and school systems on top. We’re crazy for still being here.

Because their intensity projections suck. I wouldn't rely on those especially since it doesn't have a center yet. Doesn't look like a lot is out there to prevent it from blowing up.

I keep getting drug back in due to family/friends but I don't think it's worth it. I agree I'm tired of the other factors too and we always have shitty leaders in this state. A lot to love but it feels like negatives are starting to outweigh the positives at this rate.
As someone who has visited a lot of places around the world and out of state, we can do so much better but nobody ever seems to fix anything here. A lot of our problems seem like common sense that goes nowhere.
