Ole Rob wants it to shift west. You can probably see his hurricane boner from the Doppler Radar.

Anyone have any concern for the Bay and Pass

Arrived in the Pass tonight to help my elderly aunt and uncle button up. They're waiting until morning to make a final decision, but I think we're (I'm) going to close everything up. They live on the MS Sound, but are about 24' above sea level. However, Katrina put 4' or 5' of water in their house, so as you might expect they've had enough of this shite.

For West St Tammany, If I had no genny, I’d be leaving. If I was surrounded by large trees, within falling distance of my house, I’d be leaving.

My son is in Med school in Hattiesburg, apartment near campus. I’m not familiar with the area. Should I tell him to leave?

During every hurricane thread I wish I would learn the ins and outs of these storms. Then I realize it’s wayyyy above my pay grade. I’ll just come for the few (aka duke and rds) who actually know their shite and the comic relief

There is nothing natural about this storm. Reed Timmer kept zooming in on radar last night. He is careful with his words. Looks like they are feeding ida energy

We're not leaving Mandeville. Barring a significant east shift our biggest issue will be rain and possibility for tornados. Winds will be significant but not catastrophic.

I could see 3-4 days without power though

The 15 mile East shift just took me from being on the East side of it to now having the track come over my house. Does this change much for me or was I fricked either way?

Ike’s eye went directly over my house. I live 5 blocks from the gulf. Literally only lost 3 shingles. Countless people less than a mile to the east from me lost everything. Including their lives.

Much better in the center. The eastern eyewall freaking sucks.
