Actual wrongful death suits take into account how much the persons life was worth moving forward, that piece of shite generating 4.5 million dollars is about as likely to happen as shite falling from the sky

For fricking what??? He had a gun in his pocket and went for it. What were the cops supposed to do with the massive mountain of a drugged up high person..? Let him kill THEM? Clown fricking world....

I am mostly interested to see if they have a checking account to deposit the check.

hard work and collaboration between attorneys for Mr. Sterling’s family and the Baton Rouge City Council,
I want to know exactly how much goes to these folks and how much goes to the actual family. A couple years down the road I would love to hear a federal task force on corruption was set up to follow the flow of this $$$ over the next couple years. Unfortunately I know it will never happen.

They should have taken that to trial.

Remember kids if you grow up to be a pos drug dealer who fights cops and loses your family can rake in millions

I bet they did accept it. Way more than ole Alton would have weans in his life.

Following up: have they gotten AIDS yet?
I'll pray harder.

as it should
a drug addicted, lifelong criminal, and overall scum of the earth, piece of shite that fought police officers is the reason for all of this.
the man was a convicted felon, selling "CD's" aka drugs outside of a convenience station, pointed a gun at someone in the parking lot, and cops were called...
the cops demanded that this violent and lifelong criminal stop resisting arrest and he refused. he fought them and attempted to reach for his illegal weapon...
but yet in today's fricked up America... Alton Sterling is the "hero". he's the "victim" and we all must bow down and worship him. we all must wear a mask while doing so as well..

My favorite part, that always gets lost in the story, is that the only reason BRPD showed up is because Sterling flashed his gun at some dude in the parking lot who in turn called the cops lol.

Got to be the biggest travesty of justice this century. That pathetic bastard was a convicted felon in the process of committing other felonies when this shite happened. Let’s not forget he was also trying to kill the cops who were trying to arrest him BECAUSE HE WOULDN’T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Sorry folks but that “pillar of society” deserved to die.
You can book it that money will be squandered inside of a year.

They'll blow through every penny of that in about ten years. Mark my words.

It;l be gone by end of this year after the metro council and attorneys are given their cut.

So they get, what, $3M?
Figure $2 million to the attorneys. Another million to Sharpton. This leaves $1,5 mil to be split up between all those children, and baby mommas. Hopefully, a guardian ad litem is appointed to protect the children's money from the baby mommas.

That's lots of brand new iPhones, Mercedes, 100 person family reunions being catered, brand new urban wear with a new outfit to wear every day, and then in ten years will be back on government assistance and complaining about how the man keeps them down. Not a single penny will be invested.

We’ll see their face in the news for embezzling the rest of it

It should be payable upon the date the youngest kid graduates college and/or a valid trade school.
