They should limit wrongful death payouts in these situations on what earnings potential he had left so in this case a few hundred bucks would have sufficed.

It'll be used to treat their AIDS that I will wish upon them.

That money will spread crime, misery and mayhem throughout the Sterling family and their community.

They should, but the convenience stores (Colt 45), gaudy gold shops and Cadillac dealerships will quickly separate that family from its windfall.

So nobody was charged on the police force and cleared by the FEDS. Yet our stupid arse mayor awards them millions in tax payer money. Lets give these non paying tax citizens millions for their son's illegal activities and actions that put him in the ground.
Dumb fricking bitch.

He was worth $4.5 million more dead than he did alive.

That bag of shite did more for his family dead than he ever would have done alive.

Ehh they will be broke in a couple of years or less.
Everyone in that family will be coming with their hands out and will buy shite they dont need.
And if anyone in BR thinks they deserve reparations, well there you go. go get it from the sterlings.

Total amount recoverable is $1,000,000 in general damages ($500K for his death and $500K for his conscious, pre-death pain and suffering), plus whatever loss of future earnings and support could reasonably be awarded to the children until they reach the age of majority. The most that could probably be sustainable for that item of special damages is arguably way under another $1,000,000 given the children’s’ ages and Alton Sterling’s income and the way he made same. If he were totally free from fault (which he wasn’t), the maximum exposure to the city would be less than $2M. Horrible “settlement”.

This money will be injected back into the BR economy by year end.

Laughing at anyone here still residing in BR and not attending LSU.

Unfortunately, civil trials result in pay days. Criminal trials require a higher burden of proof. So Cities settle rather tha go through a civil trial.

So they get, what, $3M?
Doesn't matter if they get $33M, will be gone by this time next year.
