this isn't a new variant

it peaked in February at 16% of cases in the US and now only accounts for 1% of cases

the CDC even downgraded it from "variant under investigation" to "monitored"

How dare you discredit journalism.

So actually having the Covid and not getting vaccinated is okay?
No, they have that fear porn in there too

The spike mutations may also be able to side-step the naturally produced antibodies a person forms after being infected with the coronavirus, according to the report.

there are still plenty of people pissed they have to go back into work and would love to go back to the 2020 pajama party and collect government cheese

I'd pay money to go back to my office again. MFers said the current policy is to provide proof of vaccination before returning to the office unless you want to wear a mask. frick that.

I tested positive for antibodies as late as February of this year and had COVID in March 2020 with effects, so yeah, no. I gave whole blood every other month for the past year and antibodies were always present in my screening.

There's a whole bunch of confirmation bias pseudoscience going on with the vaccine, antibodies, etc.

Don't they realize that the public is numb to their variant bullshite??

Unfortunately there are still enough people that trust the media and are brainwashed/stupid enough to continually believe the BS that the media spews.

It doesn't help to form an opinion on that matter when every single mutation is hyped as the worst thing ever. Instead of just tracking the progression and mutation of the virus, we must make every mutation sound as threatening as we possibly can. Therefore, people can't help but think this is an engineered virus, whether it is or isn't.

Not sure if you're trolling but I know there are some people who still believe this despite studies coming out months ago saying that antibodies have been found in bone marrow and will last for decades if not life.

I've even asked some people who are still on that "they're only good for 3 months" bullshite train what makes them think that the mRNA antibodies perform better than the actual antibodies. Haven't gotten a real answer yet.

I used to argue with these types of posters that want to regurgitate the same failing talking points. I even linked studies from Dec 2020, Jan 2021 & Mar 2021 that showed antibodies were still present 8 months later in majority of the case studies. They just ignore it, stop posting in the thread, then spew the same nonsense in the next COVID thread.

If these transparent sensational stories make you even a little concerned at this point, you deserve a kick to the throat and sterilization. People still hanging on every article from the frenzied media has outed themselves as worthless to a well functioning society.

Probably bi-annual lockdowns and booster vaccines ever 6 months to a year.
