Yes you did. You need to be in a collar on your knees.

I have 3. Ages 10, 7, and 4.

The 7 and 10 year old will for sure catch a spanking if warranted.

I am clear when I do it, clear on why I do it, and clear on how THEY can prevent it.

They will be respectful members of society as long as they live in my house. End of story. As far as I am concerned, it is my job as a parent to do what ever is necessary to ensure they are productive members of society and our community.

It is 100% up my kids if they have earned a spanking or not and I make sure they are aware of this.

The 4 year old is still young for a spanking. At that age, a simple slap on the hand is enough to tangle with their emotions...

I read things like this and laugh.

Now, I am not sure where everyone grew up in life, but my grandparents did spank me along with my parents. One of my grandfathers served in WWII and the other in Korea.

Their parents, who spanked them, raised them.

I would like to fricking know what god damn studies you reference?

What I see now are soft arse pussies.

I was at the park yesterday and there were babies out. Well this older group of kids decided to throw the football and play tackle next to the toddlers. Rightfully so a Dad asked the kids 3 times to take it somewhere else more safe. The forth time, the dad stood up, took the ball and said, "if you stay here, you will never see this ball again".

The little shits mom lost it.

That little shite walked away laughing while his mommy defended him.

I tell you this, if that dad backhanded that kid, I bet you the next time he plays football in a park and another Dad politely asks him to move, he will....

I was spanked till probably 4th grade. Eventually I learned the rules. I spanked my kids a few times, after that I just mentioned spanking and that solved the problem.

I feel a swat is ok. Do it early enough you never have to do it again. My son just thinks I might lose my shite. That’s all u need.

Honestly though, if I took away gaming devices as punishment it would be more diabolical than a spanking.

That is because you are looking at it the wrong way.

We clearly aren't talking about beating up kids here. Run along.

If you don't beat your kids, they will hate you for it later.

Depends on the kid and the situation.

I know multiple situations in my youth where I just pushed and pushed and pushed until I found out where exactly the line was. Then, I enjoyed stepping over it just to get a reaction. Timeout didn't bother me. Grounding didn't bother me. But I sure didn't like the wooden spoon to the bare arse.

We have an epidemic of underparenting in this country, not overparenting. Spanking is one of many tools needed to teach your children how to behave and succeed.

As a child, if you act up you may get spanked. As an adult, if you frick up you may go to jail or die. Spanking seems like a fine way to prepare a youngster for the real word if done correctly and infrequently.

All you need to do is take away fortnite and the kid will do anything for you

I read things like this and laugh...so you're cool with other parents using corporal punishment on your kids?

Obviously that mother doesn't know how to parent, regardless of whether she is a proponent of spanking or not.

Spanking just shows how low of an IQ you have. You’re an adult and you can’t think of other ways to instill discipline and respect besides beating your kid?

Equating it to IQ shows your low IQ, and low-T too. Giving "timeouts" is probably the best your IQ could come up with

My dad (who's IQ is borderline genius) would beat my arse, and then send me to my room as we both calmed down. He would come in, and explain why he did it, which was heavy on the "disappointment" level. Then he would ground me and/or make me write "I will not fart on my sister" X amount of times.

He went to a old school private catholic school, so definitely had many tactics. His knuckle-sammiches definitely left a good impression. A pinch with his perfectly manicured nails to the back of my arm were a good "you need to watch yourself" heads up in public.

To each their own, but the never spanking crowd need to get off their high horse. Or at least dont act all surprised when their kids are considered the most unruly of the bunch.

Cheapest and very effective method if you know what you're doing. Don't spank too hard/often or without good reason = Mastering the Self Checkout Registers.

Your analogy failed. Bend over my knee and get your spanking

Spank once and then the threat of spanking should work thereafter.
