Ever been in a nuke plant?
The regulations are extreme with no logical purpose. No one is stealing a core in a lunchbox and walk out alive. Adjust the regulations to construct and operate…..reduce the upfront overall costs.

The regulations are what they are. Trump implemented the Advance Act and now the NRC has restructured but regulations don’t just disappear overnight. Data centers are needed yesterday. SMRs are still nuclear reactors. They need protections, engineering, maintenance, security, cyber security, operations, procurement, EP. All of that exists at current nuclear facilities. GE and Westinghouse want to build them but they can’t just go anywhere.

This is a reasonable estimate during the summer months. It should be noted that all BREC golf course irrigation systems use water from retention ponds on the golf courses. It's rainwater that drained to retention ponds. No BREC courses use potable "city water".
During a significant drought they have wells that could be used to refill the ponds, however BR receives enough rain that the wells are rarely used. This is the standard set up for any golf course in the southeast USA. Private courses like BRCC, CCL, and U-Club operate in the same manner.

Entergy is building a power plant in Tunis. Dirt equipment moves in at the beginning of October. Texas is putting close to 4000 megawatts of power on the grid in the next 5 years.

Small nukes are being developed in Idaho.
They have a path to follow because these will be neighborhood power plants. Can’t take a power source off a submarine or air craft carrier. They’ll be safe at a neighborhood.
