I don't think he's the best guy to have screaming about NBR "food deserts", either.

Dude goes around three-fiddy.

Indeed she is, but you know who is even dumber? The people that keep voting for her, allowing her to be reelected.

The sad thing about Gravy is that Barrow absolutely crushed him in state senate election, but that 24 percent clings to his words as if he is the next great black thinker.

He should have no say on the matter of a tire shredder. How much in taxes does he have to pay? Does the Rouge Collection have to pay taxes? He calls it a business. What is it aside from Gravy typing on his phone in his momma's guest room? Does he put in 20 to 40 hours a week of work? Why doesn't he substitute teach at EBR? He was so dissatisfied with Warren Drake and thinks Bernard Taylor (who recently got in more trouble) was better...why not be the agent of change yourself?

As for the tire shredder, is this going to impact Gravy in any way? In any way at all?

Playing on the internet and Facebook all day and filming yourself is not doing any good for anyone. He won't learn either...sociopaths and narcissists never do.

Well, the tire shredder is going to be on private property that a friend owns and the contractor is obtaining with a lease purchase agreement. The contractor will make more money and instead of paying the city $2 per tire, will get paid $2 a tire by the city after the city collects them.

Instead of Chauna Banks district it will be in Trae Welch's district without Trae or Chauna having any input

A tire shredder is an excellent way to get rid of a body. The BR murder rate should fall dramatically. Jackson, MS needs one too.

So the contractor- the woman , is buying the tire shredder herself?

Glad this is getting done but it is a clusterfrick that they intentionally killed this in part because a rival metro councilman running for mayor would get credit for it.

It is exhibit A of why NBR can’t have anything. If it is nice, people will pilfer it. If it isn’t nice, people will bitch that it is being put there because they are black / poor / retarded / felons.

Most likely got the shredder through the federal grant, just had to lease/purchase the land and/or building.

The city wasn't going to buy the shredder, they just had to provide a location for it.

Tires are very small percent of fuel in a cement kiln.

They are used at a handful of plants but no where near a majority.

One source estimated that, theoretically, if all waste tires went to the cement industry, waste tires could provide approximately 11 percent of the fuel requirements for the cement industry.

North Baton Rouge shouldn’t continue to be used as the dumping ground for East Baton Rouge Parish, we’ve sacrificed enough — “for the good of the parish.”

It’s a fricking dump cause black people don’t give a shite ( well, not enough of them anyway). Same reason SBR is still nice and St. George was created.

Your “sacrifice” pales in comparison to the “charitable contributions” the rest of the parish has made/endured for the good of NBR.

Fix your “community “ Gary. Then maybe everyone will thrive.

The city shite the bed and it expired. And I know a private contractor wasn’t given grant money for the tire shredder. So she’s either buying it herself or the poster that bumped this is misinformed.

Isn't the whole reason for the tire shredder because there are so many tires in NBR that need to be shredded?

Not to mention that a tire shredder is the least of the blight in NBR.

Right. The city wasn't going to purchase the shredder outright, they were going to get it via a federal grant... then they shite the bed and let it lapse.
