I get it. NBC is going to be biased towards the left. Always has been at least back to the 70's. CBS and ABC may as well be in the same boat since they count as MSM. (This is not 100% my opinion but seems to be the opinion of the PT Board)

CNN used to be considered middle of the road at one point but that could not have been any sooner after the first Gulf War at best. These days they are clearly a shill for the Left or I've been told. I notice there hasn't been a day since mid 2015 where they did not mention OMB in a bad light. Being something of a Trump fan, I am in total agreement with that.

Fox News of course after the election in 2020 (and even before by some of the edgy right wingers) is now seen as 0% reliable.

That pretty much wraps up all American major network news as 0% reliable. Now, I understand that nothing is 100% reliable. And probably not 50% reliable. But, if I may ask, in your opinion, which news sites/stations/papers what have you is more than 0% reliable?

I enjoy reading some news. I'll never be a person who says ALL news is bad. And obviously I don't believe everything I read or hear. But the idea that ALL news is bad doesn't make sense and tends to isolate one self from the world which is not really a great idea.

I'm generally a moderate conservative but am willing to listen to everyone (this seems to be what sane people do regardless of political leanings). Anyways ... any recommends for 0+% reliable news entities? I'm all ears/eyes ... whatever.

TigerDroppings.com Seriously. One of the advantages of a site like this is there is never a shortage of people willing to tell you how wrong what you just posted was. It makes for a good filter.

Looks like Drudge which doesn't report any news but points you in a particular direction.

FWIW, there’s an international organization that ranks news organizations on accuracy and slant. So you can be accurate with a slant or middle of the road but inaccurate, etc.

The two organizations in the US that people would recognize is NPR got highly accurate and little bias and Politico I think got highly accurate and no bias

Well, can’t trust that rating. NPR is highly biased and mostly an opinion organization, not really news.

If there's a news site that both the left and the right whine about it's probably a good one

I watch NBC nightly news. 21 minutes is enough for me to get what little I need. Not a whole lot of bias there.

24 hours news channels and their websites are not news/journalism and can makeup whatever they want and not have to retract it. Been through the court system. Your 5:30 nightly news is held to a different legal standard, but will still have a little slant. They can't make up as much shite for fear of slander civil suits.

You can always go to the political board and get unbiased news.

Surprisingly good. I'll go with them before any US network.

When Russian invaded I subscribed to the WSJ. They had a President's Day special of $4/month for a year. It's probably gone now. The WSJ is the best source I know of, IMO. Usually I pay about zero attention to the news but things are crazy now.

Sometimes I believe the people of the OT are rational, intelligent folks, then there’s other times. Awe shucks, y’all are just like family.

WSJ became a rag slowly after Newscorp bought it... Nothing more than another opinion journal these days.

Reuters and Al Jazeera are better.

They used to be my go to source (more than a decade ago) but have veered pretty hard to the left (from mildly to the left in the 80's and 90's).
