Social media “detectives” and the Karmelo Anthony / Nolan Wells cases

Lately it feels like every big case turns into a social media investigation, and Karmelo Anthony and Nolan Wells are the latest examples. Online, people pick apart clips, rumors, and half-facts, then act like they’ve solved everything before police and courts finish their work.
This seems like it has doubled in the last 6 months. Is this a trend or here to stay? Or are certain groups just looking for any type of win after perceived injustices?

I know it didn’t happen in Baton Rouge but Nolan wells makes me feel unsafe. Racism is still the deadliest problem in America

People dont trust the justice system to get it right, so they look for answers wherever they are provided.

Could you imagine the OJ case with social media around? We had to solve that shite around a water cooler.

What these police depts dont understand is they are part of the problem posting every arrest on a webpage/facebook.
You post someone's arrest and that automatically deemes you guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of the people that read that shite. I get that its public record but why must it be plastered in every newsoutlet in the world and never amended to show the person was never thrown in jail/prison?
I have seen many people lose jobs and families due to this and the charges be dropped, dismissed or found (edit)not guilty.

Black folks and the desire for white guys to have killed Nolan is unreal.
Never in my life have i heard of a white person dying and thought, i hope it was a black person that killed them. I just know it was a black person. You gotta have something really wrong with you to feel that way

I've already been to my office, court (for a few hours), and I'm home eating lunch. While I didn't spend a TON of time outside (it's not the best weather) I have been out multiple times today

Not if you put that little disclaimer on the post that says all parties are innocent until proven guilty.

There have been some great example of internet detection in the past. I'm not aware of any that were spearheaded by blacks.

Nah, this is no different the police blotters in newspapers back in the day.
It's just really shareable now. But the information has always and should always be public. A little shame goes a long way.
