That's fair, I'm not hitching myself to his numbers. I was really just saying that in the general sense of the whole board, not you or this thread specifically.

I and others have said what we should have done differently many times in the COVID mega thread. At this point you guys who keep asking this have to be willfully ignoring what we said so I'm not even sure what the point of repeating it yet again would be.

Im only pointing out that, ONE,, this is a virus it cannot be wiped out, we quarantine now, even for another month and the virus will still be here, you would see a HUGE surge in the fall, you want to shut things down again then?

I predicted just yesterday that Easter was the date or "return to normal" I'll bet you a banning that WILL BE the target date

this disease is being taken very seriously,,but those that have the FULL INFORMATION also know it will get MUCH worse if we dont start trying to reboot the economy

The US Surgeon General just told us yesterday we weren’t doing a great job at social distancing. Doomsday Mike told us we were failing at social distancing.

And amount of time past the "expiration" of the threat to our healthcare industry. If our hospitals are empty in terms of covid patients, medical supplies are readily available everywhere, etc and we're still locked down, it's gone on too long. That doesn't mean it has to be completely eradicated, but if the threat of overrun no longer realistically exists, it has to end.

This isn't just about Grandma not having a bed in the hospital to die from covid in. It's about those people taking up space where we can't treat our normal everyday illnesses or accidents or what have you.

We have X amount of beds which we've deemed sufficient to treat a multitude of things whether it be a heart attack or a car crash. Covid-19 is threatening to need nearly 18X beds in Dallas county alone based on their figures for a 40% spread.

I don't think there's a black and white answer here. It's constantly changing and we know more everyday.
