You are seriously mentally unstable. Between this and the Monroe PD post, you've got issues dude. Might want to see someone to work through them.

To the elderly & obese

In Louisiana there has been 4 deaths under the age of 18
The average age of those that have died is 74
Almost 58% had hypertension
Over 35% had diabetes
Over 20% had heart disease

Yes, younger people have died
Yes, younger healthy people have died

576 people aged 18-59 have died in Louisiana
That is 0.012% of the states population

Add in 4 kids under 18 to the total of people under 59
580 = 0.012% of the states population
Or 580 = 14% of deaths

Covid is now being accepted as being in the US since January. So as of 8/7, that’s roughly 8.25 months.
actually, it would be 7.25

It’s more deadly and it’s more severe. That’s all I’m saying. Those are facts.
Now if you think we mishandled the way we tried to stop the virus, I can agree. We started with flattening the curve, we started by leaving the elderly in nursing homes unprotected, and then we changed gears to trying to lock things down for a lengthily period, etc.
But this is not just a bad flu year, it’s worse and despite strangling the economy the suffering and deaths have been high. And the politics on both sides had distorted everything. No one trusts public officials of the media because it’s so political.

I think flu season is six months.

But who remembers when people here were talking about the hot weather shopping COVID? Remember that? How has that worked?

Your math is a little off, but your point is not. This whole thing is beyond absurd

This may be the most overstated and biggest problem with this Covid and the thing used to control people avertenly/inadvertently the most. The WHO says it's rare and maybe 6%. I've heard people's accounts say that in retrospect they did have mild symptoms but didn't notice them at the time. We are more aware of this now.

The overall numbers are worse, and those that catch a bad case (young or old) the suffering is worse than the regular case of the flu. Now you can slice it or dice it any way you want to prove your case. We know it attacks some more than others now.

Edited to clarify.

That is completely not true

I wouldnt call a bad case of covid-19 worse than dying from the flu

A young kid is more likely to die from the flu than covid-19. so your statement is just false

Died in a car wreck and have Covid? Covid Death

Not sure why there are downvotes. Florida has had at least three of these sorts of deaths "caught."

Motorcycle accident, old person had a fall death, and another was a roofer struck by lightning then fell off the roof.

The CDC's official numbers, which have a lag compared to the running total we hear on the news, even shows over 4,000 CoviD deaths with "intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events" listed as a comorbidity on the death certificate.

Let me clarify, people I spoke to that had COVID said it was worse than when they had the flu.

Interesting

I know only 4 covid cases

2-completely asymptomatic

2-fatigued, generally unwell feeling, not nearly as bad as the flu

It amazes me no one is making comparisons to the 1968 pandemic which killed around 100k US citizens and a million globally, which is in line with what COVID is doing mortality wise once you normalize for population growth.

I have been. I think you even had to correct my late-night math on it once.

1968 is a great comparable year to 2020...presidential election, pandemic, and civil unrest in the USA that year.

But all the talking heads and fear-mongers want to compare to Spanish Flu.

Death is not the only downside of having it. Some people act like you either have virtually no symptoms or die.

Being on a ventilator for a couple weeks and/or having long-term or permanent lung, kidney or heart damage is nothing to sneeze at.

I know one, he’s lucky to be as live. Finally got out of icu. He then had to go back in got open heart surgery. I haven’t talked with him.

I do know four others. One I didn’t talk to, but he had to go to the ER because breathing became so difficult. The other three I talked to. Each told me it was the worst thing they had ever had and it really knocked them back and it was worse than the flu.

So my anecdotal evidence is the opposite of your anecdotal evidence, which is exactly why you shouldnt use anecdotal evidence

So what you're saying is that Covid kills about 19.4k a month. And that's new deaths, on top of the existing 15k for flu. That flu goes away on its own every year after about three months. But Covid, the more aggressive killer, is year-round with no seasonal abatement. That the Covid will kill about 232,000 (19.4k x 12) each year, on top of the flu deaths. And there is no vaccine for Covid.

That's bleak.
