So my fiancee is being harassed at work. What do you do?

Apparently some of those folks are referring to her as a derogatory name in group texts on a work phone. She was shown this by a coworker today and it was a male making the comments. It is not sexual in nature.
My initial reaction is I'm going beat somebody with a lead pipe, but that doesn't solve anything.
I've never dealt with anything like this. I told her to go speak with her supervisor and report it, but she fears the rest of the team will retaliate. She is new.
Whatever serious replies I can get, I am grateful.

I don't know what else there is to legitimately do other than report it to a supervisor. If its the type of office that has proof of this kind of harassment and still does nothing, it may not be the place she wants to work. (I understand that is easier said than done).

She should approach the people who refer to her as a derogatory name and ask them about it.. It will be more embarrassing for them than it will be for her to do it because they will have to address the issue with her..
