I also have an 11yr old that started Jr yesterday as well and was wondering the same thing..
We did get her a locker kit ,but she found her's on amazon though.. Damn thing came with a Shag carpet rug that fit in the locker.. This kit had all kinds of crazy nonsense in it.

Kids use lockers? We used to just put all of our books in a booksack and carry it around everywhere. Nothing like slinging the whole 30-40 lb bag against the wall when your put it down for lunch.

my kids have lockers but I dont think they actually use them
